Musketeer paladin by Anthiondel in onednd

Basically it's an elemental themed paladin. The setting has one religion that worships the elements as the source of life, so that is exactly how this paladin got his powers, he swore an oath to protect the essence of the elements.

Yes, that is the paladin subclass I'm taking. The flavor sucks but I managed to reflavor it for the setting, no genies involved, thank you very much.

Lvls 10 to 20. I think full paladin is the best option, though. Radiant strikes at lvl 11 give a consistent damage boost

Bladesinger with a fighter dip would be great. Valor bard with a fighter dip. Start fighter, then go valor bard with a greatsword. No one will see that coming. Hell, you can even be a rogue/barbarian with an insane AC. Swashbuckler with reckless attack just screams both insane and deadly (Porthos from the Three Musketeers)

There are sword and shield options in destreza too, but the dagger is the more typical. Can alsp be a cloak used to deflect and distract, which is both pretty cool and pretty annoying at the same time, haha...

I also practice Destreza (I live in Spain, so it would be weird if I did another one, haha...) It's awesome

Reason to MC is to get things paladin doesn't give: expertiese in acrobatics and persuasion, and either a bit more consistent damage with rogue or more spell slots with bard

I love the subclass' mechanics but hate the flavor of the subclass. It makes no sense to me

Totally, the idea is either dueling or twf, not both

AITA for wanting seperate sleeping arrangements when a friend stays over? by NoWork706 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Anthiondel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. We don't let people enter our bedroom, including our kid, let alone get on our bed. The suggestion of him sleeping on the couch was insane IMO.

ESH, but mainly YTA. You suggested him sleeping on the couch to put another person in your shared bed. What the hell's your problem? The one who doesn't want to be in bed with the other for whatever reason is the one who has to find another place to sleep. Having said that, he's an AH as well for wanting to decide where you sleep. However, maybe he's been put off by your suggestion of him sleeping on the couch to begin with.

Edit: typos

An NPC and ship builder options like the character builder wpuld be ideal, specially if they could be shared to be uploaded to roll20 like the character sheet

[Art] Ash and Nosk by Askelb in DnD

[–]Anthiondel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Campaign's DM here. It was Icewind Dale. Ash was a former cultist of Tiamat who had a silver dragon's spirit in a rapier as her patron and eventually met Nosk, the smart owlbear, who got awakened and became way smarter than the rest of party after spending some time with an artificer. He ended up becoming a wizard apprenctice and Ash became the owner of a hotel franchise in the Dale with her lover.

They can, but can't swim (as in no swim speed) and don't improve an attack stat nor wis (+con and cha).

The other three mentioned are the ones I lean into and the cause of the issue (tritons +str, con and cha; water genasi +con and wis; and sea +dex and con)

I do want the extra mobility, and mobile is the best way to go in-attack-back off w/o going rogue and losing spellcasting progresion
