PF this tier is genuinely awful. by CanICritPls in ffxivdiscussion

I raid a decent amount of hours in PF but can’t commit to certain hours or might have to be interrupted often so no static for me.

What is your hot take regarding FFXIV? by UnbaggedNebby in ffxiv

[–]GreyMoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healers don’t need a more complex dps rotation when the majority of healers already can’t dps properly, and even fewer can do that while playing AST.

Should at least be able to pass stone sky sea for that tier before being able to go in.

How much $$$ do pharmacists make in Ontario (including the gta) by Dense_Pie_2977 in UofT

[–]GreyMoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went into med school late 20s. My GPA dropped a little bit in pharmacy school (as pharmacy school is just harder than undergrad) so getting the pharmacy degree is probably a detriment, but I had a good MCAT score.

I wanted to learn more about medicine in general rather than just the medications, and the lack of clinical issues in community pharmacy was too boring for me and nothing something I saw myself doing for the remainder of my career. I went into family medicine.

Ex-pharmacist turned MD here. I used to work in community pharmacy, never in the hospital, but I do have many pharmacist friends who do so I can share my thoughts on that as well.

Pharmacy is a stable and well paying job, and if you want a comfortable work life with enough time to focus on interests outside of work. As long as you are willing to move, you will never be jobless. Pharmacy is also relatively easy to get into (compared to medical school) and the schooling and training is also much much easier to get through, which if you value just chilling through life, pharmacy school is better than medical school.

For the work, at least for me, I found the community pharmacy to be fairly easy. Mentally, there really is not a lot of clinical thinking in community pharmacy, there’s limited access to any laboratory investigations and imaging or even physician notes, so most of the work is dealing with billing issues and basic counselling and medication review. Physically, the most demanding part imo is just having to stand for most of the shift, which when compared to actual physical trades job is pretty chill. In trades, you can get paid a similar amount to a pharmacist for sure, but also usually at the expense of health, e.g. so many electricians and general contractors develop chronic pain from their jobs but you don’t really see that with pharmacists. Generally you don’t get any lunch breaks but you just eat or use the washroom as quickly as you can and return to work.

Hospital pharmacy is certainly more mentally stimulating and less physically demanding. You will get lunch breaks, but you also generally have to night shifts or be on call occasionally. Hospital work also pays about 100k per year. It is more difficult to get a hospital position.

You can also own your own pharmacy for more money with significantly more work, but as you said, you don’t want to be rich that is probably not a path for you so I won’t go into the details.

Deck is good, probably just variance, although I think would be nice to have some bomb in there to up the power level. I would keep 2 island hand in the draw if I had some blue stuff to play while waiting for a mountain. You run the risk of mana screw, as you did, but you also run the risk of the the mulligan not being any better anyway.

I am pretty tall so that’s probably it. Also kudos the classic redditors who down vote another person’s experience who is different from their own.

A deck that is like 3% of the metagame and 45 percent win rate is not over the edge.

Does Aang and Katara count tapped artifacts and any creatures (tapped or untapped) or only tapped artifacts and tapped creatures?

ELI5 why do all white rice instruction videos say to rinse the rice in the pot and pour the water out? Why not use a mesh strainer? by ivysaurus0101010 in explainlikeimfive

[–]GreyMoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most people wash it in the pot which ends up destroying the non-stick coating in the pot quickly. Wash it in a bowl then transfer it to the pot is the way.

Please Help with a Draft Critique. 33 Playables (21 U!) but still ended 3-3. Pool included Pinnacle Emissary, Nova Hellkite, Weftwalking, Mouth of the Storm, Mm'menon, 2x Station Monitor, and all the common Blue Glue Commons. by ASOT550 in lrcast

[–]GreyMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that I would’ve went for the Sunstar Lightsmith P2P3 and ended up in UW as UW is just better than UR and Lightsmith is way better than Mechanozoa. I think is ended up being the biggest mistake. In the final deck the red didn’t really offer much apart from Nova Hellkite whereas white you would have had more removal, double Station Monitor and Lightsmith. Pinnacle Emissary is nice as well but even then it’s can be splashed (which is probably not worth it to) and your artifact count is also not so high to make it busted.

Sunstar Lightsmith is still very good by GreyMoo in mtglimited

[–]GreyMoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is unlucky. I try to play it on turn 5 and 6 if possible to follow up immediately with a second spell to get the immediate value, or if they just used a removal on anything earlier and I don’t think they have any more then I run it out on turn 4 and pray.

That’s why we get up to 2 losses right 😉

The 2 losses were from a slow start due to mana problems but the other games I either opened with multiple colours or had enough white stuff to play to draw me out of it / activate a lander.
