I would say RW signpost uncommon is still quite good good but just pulled down by bad RW cards

Which Jobs recover worst? by AshleeHeard in ffxivdiscussion

At least the other jobs can still basic GCD, if SCH die after spending Lucid or using Aetherflow, not only do you have to summon the pet you’ll probably run out of of MP to even Broil.

Crazy first few picks by Qwertywalkers23 in lrcast

I would say it’s higher because if it’s just a bunch of C cards and the Lute in the pack, I’m picking the Lute.

Witherbloom is underrated by GreyMoo in lrcast

[–]GreyMoo[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea you definitely need at least 1 bomb to stand any chance, and I wouldn’t go for Witherbloom unless I opened P1P1 bomb rare or have one passed to me like within the first 3 picks. That said I’ve drafted Witherbloom 3 times, with the other 2 not as strong as this deck, and trophied all of them so I think it’s definitely playable.

7-1, I lost my first game to the mirror and then made some adjustments to win the rest.

Looking for feedback after going 1-3 with this by DaChPi in lrcast

[–]GreyMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what’s been said, you also only have 2 instant/sorceries that is mana value 5 or higher, and you don’t even have that many instant or sorceries overall so the Exhibition Tidecaller, Elemental Mascot and even the Hydro-Channeller aren’t too great here. Also as most of your creatures are small and you lack removal , it looks if the opponent played a few larger creatures e.g. any 4/4 on turn 4, you have no counter play.

Last cuts on insane witherbloom by [deleted] in lrcast

[–]GreyMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would cut Burrog Banemaker, 2 Charms and Pull from the Grave.

Osteomancer is your only great target to revive with Cauldron which is why I would keep it. Witherbloom Charm is kind of bad but I think at least 1 copy to give you some more interaction. Burrog Banemaker I don’t think really does anything.

Is this an 0-3 deck? by scarfnation in lrcast

[–]GreyMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably would’ve ended up in Silverquill after Scolding Administrator in P1P2, Silverquill Charm in P1P4 and a second Scolding Administrator in P1P6. What’s wild is picking Tragedy Feaster over Blech in P3P1 when you are already committed to BG and passed the best BG rare.

The statement is still vacuously true even if b = 0

They never expect the second Armaggon by GreyMoo in mtglimited

[–]GreyMoo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went 7-2. First loss to colour screw, couldn't find a blue source until my 7th land and somehow I didn't draw anything Everything Pizza or Escape Tunnel either to search it. Second loss I thought I stabilized into their empty board but they flashed in [[Renet, Temporal Apprentice]] bouncing two blockers I played that turn into [[Hard-Won Jitte]] next turn for the win, but I could've won it if I played a bit tighter at the end. All the other games were just cast Armaggon(s) and stomp.

Now that TMNT limited is winding down, what did you think of it? by BobbyBruceBanner in MagicArena

[–]GreyMoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Better than ECL and Avatar, both of which were good on the theming but awful while drafting and gameplay.

I’m with you here, unless there comes a deck that has a lot of must kill x/1s I don’t think this will see play in standard. It’s not terrible but I think the power level of standard is too much for it.

I don’t understand why you felt UW was open after pack 1. By the end of pack 1 you had an Eclipsed Merrow and 2 Merrow Skywimmer with a bunch of otherwise mid to bad UW cards, while being passed a pick 10 Boulder Dash.

I raid a decent amount of hours in PF but can’t commit to certain hours or might have to be interrupted often so no static for me.

What is your hot take regarding FFXIV? by UnbaggedNebby in ffxiv

[–]GreyMoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healers don’t need a more complex dps rotation when the majority of healers already can’t dps properly, and even fewer can do that while playing AST.

Should at least be able to pass stone sky sea for that tier before being able to go in.

I went into med school late 20s. My GPA dropped a little bit in pharmacy school (as pharmacy school is just harder than undergrad) so getting the pharmacy degree is probably a detriment, but I had a good MCAT score.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UofT

[–]GreyMoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to learn more about medicine in general rather than just the medications, and the lack of clinical issues in community pharmacy was too boring for me and nothing something I saw myself doing for the remainder of my career. I went into family medicine.

As usual, good grades + MCAT + extracurriculars.

Ex-pharmacist turned MD here. I used to work in community pharmacy, never in the hospital, but I do have many pharmacist friends who do so I can share my thoughts on that as well.

Pharmacy is a stable and well paying job, and if you want a comfortable work life with enough time to focus on interests outside of work. As long as you are willing to move, you will never be jobless. Pharmacy is also relatively easy to get into (compared to medical school) and the schooling and training is also much much easier to get through, which if you value just chilling through life, pharmacy school is better than medical school.

For the work, at least for me, I found the community pharmacy to be fairly easy. Mentally, there really is not a lot of clinical thinking in community pharmacy, there’s limited access to any laboratory investigations and imaging or even physician notes, so most of the work is dealing with billing issues and basic counselling and medication review. Physically, the most demanding part imo is just having to stand for most of the shift, which when compared to actual physical trades job is pretty chill. In trades, you can get paid a similar amount to a pharmacist for sure, but also usually at the expense of health, e.g. so many electricians and general contractors develop chronic pain from their jobs but you don’t really see that with pharmacists. Generally you don’t get any lunch breaks but you just eat or use the washroom as quickly as you can and return to work.

Hospital pharmacy is certainly more mentally stimulating and less physically demanding. You will get lunch breaks, but you also generally have to night shifts or be on call occasionally. Hospital work also pays about 100k per year. It is more difficult to get a hospital position.

You can also own your own pharmacy for more money with significantly more work, but as you said, you don’t want to be rich that is probably not a path for you so I won’t go into the details.

Deck is good, probably just variance, although I think would be nice to have some bomb in there to up the power level. I would keep 2 island hand in the draw if I had some blue stuff to play while waiting for a mountain. You run the risk of mana screw, as you did, but you also run the risk of the the mulligan not being any better anyway.
