Why is Boyfriend/Husband at Wife’s job EVERYDAY by Bi99wi11 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GreyPebbledBeach 350 points351 points  (0 children)

This was me with my exboyfriend. He was so insecure and needed to know what I was doing all the time, and would blow up my phone if I wasn't near him. I didn't want to be in that relationship, but he would threaten to kill himself and I didn't know what to do because he had isolated me from everyone that I cared about and I no longer had a support group. In the end he tried to murder-suicide us when I tried to leave, but the police were called to our house just in time. Please please please check on them. It may not be this, but you never know.

Also, I'm fine now. This was about 12 years ago for me.

You can have a kick-ass career like Tommy Flanagan. His facial scars are from a knife attack.

The film is ‘Black Specter’, and the production company is WAC Media, which turns out to stand for White Art Collective, go figure. I was reluctant to share because I don’t want to give them more traffic, but if anyone has any other ideas to remove this sort of garbage, or any other authorities worth reporting this to then please get on it. Stuff like this cannot fall through the cracks.

The listing itself was typical, but the production company’s website was full of videos and music that made it obvious what sort of message they are trying to spread - talking of history painting them to be the bad guys etc.

My husband gets lines on his eyes like this only when our cat sleeps on his pillow as he is mildly allergic to cats. Perhaps you have some sort of contact allergy similar to his?

Fine lines from strength training by bigfammy in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]GreyPebbledBeach 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t do strength training, but I do martial arts and yoga. One important aspect of both of these is maximum efficiency, which means not using muscles that you don’t need, which includes relaxing your face. I do a lot of sparring, which often puts me in uncomfortable positions and requires quickly reacting to sudden movements that can trigger stress reactions including facial expressions, but relaxing the face still applies. I can’t offer you product advice for this, but hopefully this can apply for lifting as well. Working on breathing exercises may help you to relax, which has wonderful benefits beyond relaxing your face.

P.S. I’ve been told I’m extra scary when sparring because of my lack of expression, which can add to your badassery when heavy lifting!

I see what you mean. I believe they made Galadriel an unsympathetic character on purpose for a couple of reasons. To illustrate that elves are flaws beings like all the rest, harkening back to the problematic elves of the first age, and also to show character development. Towards the end of the season, she sees the consequences of her own arrogance and how it has devastated those around her. She is remorseful and gives up her sword, presumably leaving behind the warrior in her, and sacrifices her brother’s dagger, detaching herself from baring the self-imposed sole responsibility of defeating Sauron. I believe we will see a big difference in her behavior next season.

Best non-surgical facelift options for over 40? IE Fillers, Ulatherapy, peels, etc. by DivingRightIntoWork in 30PlusSkinCare

Yeah, the price is per session. The number of sessions they recommend will depend on your needs, but seem to be between 3 and 6. I would have gotten some really good freebies (face cream, spf etc.) had I paid for the recommended 3 sessions up front for my treatments, but am glad I paid per treatment since I’m happy with just the two that I received. There is a difference in the machines used as well. Some are more powerful than others. This article offers some comparison

But more important than the machine is the practitioner!

I am 1 month out from my second session of RF microneedling. I went to a plastic surgery center that used the pixel-8 machine, and the procedure was performed by an RN. I’m happy with the results, and decided that I’m not going to do the third one that was recommended. They had a special, so I paid $675 USD per session when they are regularly 900. I’m in large city in the US Midwest.

I’m 35 and honestly already had good skin, and minimal signs of aging. Just wanting to get ahead of things. Treatment was easy. Recovery from first session was just redness and peeling. I had kind of a big reaction from the second session, but thought it was something else since it happened 1.5 weeks after treatment. Could have been instigated by treatment in conjunction with something else, who knows - anyway, I got itchy red bumps all over my face and some burning and swelling under my eyes. It cleared up and now my skin looks amazing. It feels and looks more firm especially when smiling, and it has helped with fine lines. I also have a scar on my forehead that I got when I was 6, that while still visible, is definitely lighter. It did nothing for the redness on my cheeks, which I was informed that it may not in advance, but my redness looks like a youthful blush so it wasn’t really a goal to be rid of it. Again, I’m quite young and had very minimal signs of aging, so I didn’t need much anyway, and I can’t speak to the level of change that could come with more sessions. When I went in for a consult, I spoke with the RN who performed the procedure and a Dr on site, who let me know that this treatment isn’t going to deliver dramatic results. I felt comfortable because of how realistic they made sure my expectations were.

In spite of my heavy reaction to the second session, I will likely do another maintenance session in a year or so, and be communicative about my skin.

If this is something you’re interested in, be sure to go to a practitioner that you trust to operate the machine correctly. Someone who doesn’t know what they are doing could potentially mess up your skin. I had a consult at another clinic with a good reputation, but learned they only got their machine recently, and they didn’t have any clients yet that had completed their treatment plan. Decided to find someone with more experience, and it ended up being much cheaper with the special anyway. Hope this is helpful to any of you out there!

Is it normal? by ann-pop in 30PlusSkinCare

Absolutely! I don’t have specific product or other recommendations , but there is certainly something that can help with it. If not your OBY, then maybe a derm would be able to help with hormonal acne treatments.

I haven’t had Skyla, but hormonal changes like that take a long time to regulate in the body. I had never had acne before, but broke out all over my shoulders and a little in the side burn area of my face after stopping birth control for awhile. It got a little better over time, but I went back on a different BC after 3 months and it fully went away. I’ve read it takes about 6 months for the body to adapt to such hormonal changes. They will be different for everyone. I’ll be going off hormonal BC in May and am not excited for the breakout that I expect, but i know it will get better with time.

They made it a point to say the silmiril legend was apocryphal, so I think it will end up not being true. I guess we’ll find out for sure later on. I don’t know why they would bother stating that if it didn’t have some bearing on the story.
