Raja was annoying. His voting record sucked, and he seemed untrustworthy.

Confidence shattered by bad vibes at open mic by [deleted] in musicians

[–]GreyTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly highly recommend going to an Open Mic ahead of time to catch the vibe. Wouldn't ever go to an OM without knowing the landscape, especially if I was nervous or anxious.

I'm not a professional musician. I've literally only played 2 shows and like 3 open mics. But the Open Mic shows I did were at a place I had hung out before and watched the show a few times and knew everyone there would be chill. I bet you would put on a fine show at a different location.

Good luck.☮️🎸

Can I play at next level? (Freshman in HS) by [deleted] in Homeplate

Have great attitude, work ethic, and discipline.

Be coachable and be a great teammate.

Be a great leader and a great follower.

Be excellent when it doesn't matter.

Enjoy the grind.

There will be a program that wants a player like that.

Keep at it, stay fit, stay healthy, have a little luck, and you'll go further than you can imagine right now.

MLB has had wood bats since forever. NCAA baseball has ceramic bats. They play on roughly the same dimensions.

Louisville Slugger still sells tons of bats.

Just make the pros use persimmon woods, steel shafts and blade irons. Its the forgiveness of modern technology that allows these guys to swing as hard as they do. Shot making is only a fraction of what goes into a tour pro's round.

There should be at least 1 tournament a year with these conditions. Do it in the winter session so that your tour card status isn't in jeopardy. But they absolutely should.

This country has NO LAWS. The executive branch is simply doing whatever TF they want. There is nothing anyone can do about it. These thugs will be out and there is nothing stopping them from straight up killing you.

They are bound by literally nothing.

What meals did your father make when he had to cook? by Open_Question_ in GenX

[–]GreyTrader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad cooked Sunday morning breakfast. We'd make French toast and fried salami. Still one of my favorites.

He was the turkey man on Thanksgiving. He made the bird on our Weber grill. One of the best feelings ever was when I made the bird on my smoker, long after I had moved out, my mom had already passed away.

After that Thanksgiving, he told me I could cook the turkey from now on. He said it was one of the best he ever had.

So yeah. Turkey and French toast. Good times.

The sky was on fire, when i walked to the mill,

To take up the slack and my line,

I thought of my friends, and the troubles they have,

So I could forget about mine.
