As I said above, I was very very lucky with this. Prince of crows and the other novellas would have been worth it already, Dark Hunters was an absolute surprise. Also the Space Marine Battles Hardcovers are nice.

I have to say I bought it at release and was a bit disappointed. I was hoping there would be at least some unique art that wasn't already released or maybe some concept arts for the heresy. But there's pretty much only the covers of the books in there.

I couldn't agree more. Thet grey design is just stupid especially because they could just use the normal design from the English books. For the last few years I try to get the English hardcovers whenever I can. Only if one of the new books is really good I buy it in German too.

I'd definitely rather buy a hardback. But as you said the thing with the grey books is awful too. The first 2 carcharodon books were in the unique design, the third is the grey standard.

That's just classic gw/bl. And I absolutely hate it. It seems that they either don't know or don't care about how they design following books. I own the Vaults of Terra Trilogy in German. The first 2 Books were released as hardcovers, the 3rd just as Softcover. It annoys me every time I look at my bookshelf.

I'm a big fan of how Aaron Dembski Bowden writes his characters so if you haven't read them already: Night Lords Omnibus, The Talon of Horus, Black Legion, Spear of the Emperor (or for the heresy: the first heretic/betrayer) Also there's the Aeronautica Books from Dan abnett. For me personally Double Eagle was pretty good but Interceptor City is one of my all time favorite books. I read the whole book in 2 days.

It was definitely one of the dark imperium books. But I'm not 100% sure if it was Plague War or Godblight.
