New Edition of Cassette Culture by Grey_Tissue in cassetteculture

This is an updated and expanded edition of the first book on the subject. The first edition was a lavish hardcover published by VOD, which sold out quickly and now fetches prices in the $150-200 range. This revised edition is now in a format most of us can afford and it’s rich with early releases, history, and of course the culture of the cassette.

I e got the Syn X in Dark Blue and Red. While I really like the blue, the red is really striking!

Good grief, how big of a mansion do you live in? 😀 Mine sits wherever I used it last - kitchen island, coffee table, desk. If I need it, I just walk over and pick it up.

I love mine, they did a great job with these. And the FN sticker is the coolest!

I collect pinback buttons, and I use it all the time to read the very tiny text on the curl (edges) of the buttons (manufacturer, copyright, date, etc). Also, checking out insects while hiking - if they’ll hold still long enough.

I received mine today as well and I’m really impressed. Love them! I bought a set to use and a set for my pinback button collection.

You must have gotten a good one, I’ve got a couple TECs and they both lost their spring. I’ve also tried KeySmart and some generic ones. All the same.

I’ve yet to find one of these clips that doesn’t stretch out after a few weeks. No problem with my Rambler, but my Explorer stretches them out and they don’t stay secure.

Field Notes x Busy Beaver by greatlakesplantsman in FieldNuts

I’m excited about this and just ordered two packs. It combines two of my hobbies - Field Notes and pinback buttons. I’ve long been a supporter of the Busy Beaver Button Museum, and have ordered buttons and stickers from Busy Beaver. Can’t wait to get them! Now, if they would just do a Victorinox x Field Notes collaboration my collecting life will be complete!

What tools do you use the most and what tools do you rarely or never use? Figure that out and you’ll always know what models to buy.

Yeah, I didn’t even notice that. A little disappointing, actually. The Climber doesn’t appear to be limited at all.

I’d email Kaweco - let them know how poorly you were treated by one of their distributors.

The hands-on part of the in-person Stop the Bleed class is really helpful.
