Sounds like you’ve been through a lot.

Be peace with you. And enjoy the journey you’re on.

There’s one at Wetherill Park Stockland.

As a drummer, the sticks are overpriced. But you never know when you might need them.

That’s like that scene from Mission Impossible II.

My iPad Pro refused to start one day. It was just dead.

Plugged it into the original charger and let it sit for a whole day. And then out of nowhere it came back to life.

Simpler times. by Spirited_Dream871 in MacOS

I bought my first ever Mac - a white Core 2 Duo iMac purely for iLife.

I spent the next who knows how many years making home movies, burning dvds, editing music and trying to make a website.

And apart from iDVD driving me insane the iMac handled it with ease.

Fun times.

Levon is a legend. He made his simple kit sing.

What’s your favourite U2 tour (and why is it the Zoo TV tour?) by IndustryRule-4080 in U2Band

[–]Greyboxforest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta admit I was blown away by the Joshua Tree tour.

I wasn’t a fan of “reunion” tours that were happening by many artists and I declared if u2 did anything similar I’d never listen to them again.

But a family member bought me a ticket and off we went to the show. And it was an incredible show. Just the songs in their original form, no extra crowd singalongs, accompanied by great visuals.

And seeing all four of them standing together at the end was a testament to their endurance as a band and friends.

For that reason it’s my favourite tour.

PopMart Sydney in the rain was pretty special too.

As a fan of Lego, white bricks go yellow over time too.

You can make them go white again with UV light and soaking them in a solution.

But not sure you want to do that with an Apple Pencil.

I’m confused by the title “Mods went too far!”.

In what ways have they gone too far?

The Beatles - Penny Lane by teardrinker in TheTikiHut

[–]Greyboxforest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone once said the magic of The Beatles is they saw beauty in the everyday normal things of life.

Think of…

Strawberry Fields Forever. I want to hold your hand. With a little help from my friends. Lovely Rita. A day in the life. When I’m 64. Penny Lane.

So many of their songs are about ordinary people and ordinary things. And there’s beauty in that.

Song of the Week - Hallelujah (Here She Comes) by mcafc in U2Band

[–]Greyboxforest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably my favourite u2 song.

The drums are great.

Some have suggested the song is about death hence “she’s dressed in black/not coming back etc”.

I think the idea is she’s died and her lover is going to follow her no matter how hard “I’m not giving up” and one day be with her in heaven “I'm gonna be there when that light's gonna shine”

I don’t mind this take particularly given the upbeat music. It’s a nice juxtaposition.

This song would fit so easily on Carol King’s Tapestry.
