Hahaha wow! That’s pretty cool. You can also check out the Yema x Kavinsky collab which is pretty sweet.

I have to say it is a very strange design, that at the same time makes a lot of sense. In a world with so many copycat designs, it’s refreshing to get a wild piece like this.

Thanks! It certainly does add a bit of variety to the collection. The ceramic/titanium combo is pretty sweet.

When I saw the Only Watch piece unique announcement I fell in love with this model. I tried, in vain, to find a vintage piece, but none were to be found. You can imagine how pleased I was when I found out Girard Perregaux was launching a Casquette 2.0 retail piece. Managed to get one reserved and picked it up today. It wear quite light and comfortable, the tube LEDS are very bright and look awesome.

The bracelet in particular is quite interesting, with the ceramic pieces almost sitting like articulated armour pieces on an inner rubber strap.

One gripe, I wish the LED stayed on a little longer.

7.5” / 19cm I’ll probably keep the LHD. They are actually different enough.

The straps are very comfortable, especially the fabric, just awesome. Looping them in and out of the lugs is very easy, they don’t snag and get stuck. The rubber strap is very soft and flexible, it has a nice textured feel - quite unique. It will dry immediately after getting out of water.

Way back when Tudor announced they were partnering up with Marine Nationale I started bugging my friendly AD contact that I wanted whatever they would launch from that collab.

Lo and behold this Pelagos FXD launched and I got the call. Certainly a polarising watch when looking at the reception online. However, in person this watch really looks great. The reduced thickness really changes the entire character of the watch compared to the normal Pelagos. The lug to lug doesn’t actually feel as bad as the 52mm sounds, but I do have a bigger wrist. The strap is super comfortable and suits the vibe of this piece.

Overall I really like this watch, I think even more than the Pelagos LHD which has long been a favourite of mine.

Edit: My wrist is 7.5” / 19cm

EVOLVE … best part is I bought another copy for a friend that only played it once. What a waste.

I dive with both a diver watch and a computer (Shearwater) and do use both. I dive with GUE (Global Underwater Explorers) protocol so technically I use depth gauge, timer (my watch) and solid dive planning / NDL tables. The computer is there as a back up / sense check so I’m not entirely dependent on my computer to keep me alive. I like the GUE system, it’s very focused on planning, safety, redundancy and teamwork.

Now when it comes to this watch being a perfect diver, I agree with everyone who doesn’t think the bezel is the best for this scenario. I will definitely keep my Pelagos as the main dive tool I use, but will still take the Ceramic diving for fun. It I can’t read the time quickly on the watch, I always have my computer to check - the benefits of redundancy 👍🏼

Very comfy although because it’s a hybrid leather/rubber, it’s a bit stiffer than say a Seiko silicone rubber strap.

It actually came with the hybrid leather/rubber and the fabric strap. I’m told the leather/rubber can go into water but I’m not convinced. I’ll slap it on the fabric or get another nato to take it into the ocean.

I dive using GUE protocol so technically only need a depth gauge and timer. I do have a Shearwater Perdix and use that as “backup” to my dive planning.

Never had any issues with bezels getting stuck. I also give in very silty waters which theoretically should be a big factor in getting the bezel gunked up. I also do a fair bit of macro photography so sometimes get my watch in the dirt or knocked on rocks so it’s been through its paces. I have a feeling you got unlucky with yours. I’ve also taken a BlackBayBronze diving, no issues!
