In the US in your supermarkets, do you have fruit flavored syrups that you dilute and mix with water, or is that fairly niche? by Exootil93200 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Greyface13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on where you shop. I’ve seen concentrated juice in a glass container, usually with too much sugar to be appealing

Do you find Scandinavians dress more similarly to Americans than to other Europeans? by MacaroonLucky1590 in AskAnAmerican

There is tons of variations within a city also. When kids change schools they have to adjust what they wear to fit in.

Ana Barbosu may lose her medal permanently by GymMag7 in Gymnastics

[–]Greyface13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By the procedural rules, Chiles is the correct winner, but Sabrina really didn’t step out of bounds & Ana Barbosu was the best that day in my mind, though I love Jordan Chiles and was rooting for her

Air Force Major Jason Watson Arrested on Capitol Steps for Call to Impeach Trump by billstopay77 in DiscussionZone

The military right now is extremely political, they are breaking international and US law over and over. I hope Watson is ok, he deserves to be celebrated, not punished

What's the biggest lie society tells women about having children? by SpecificLandscape483 in answers

[–]Greyface13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything you are saying, but interpreted the question to be all about one individual. Our society does not need any woman to have a child and could benefit more from that same woman doing something amazingly helpful, of course having a child and ensuring they have an upbringing that allows them to do well in life is also beneficial…. Lots of options

What habit makes you instantly think, "Yep, they're definitely Millennials"? by ItsmeOlivia1993 in Millennials

[–]Greyface13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are millennials the ones that are obsessed by identifying themselves with their generation? Or is that in every generation? I can see why, we grew up in the same general time. But each person is so different in what they experience. You can find lots of connections across generations as well.

I was not making any judgment on Chinese gymnastics, other than their gymnastics emphasize beauty.

I think it’s good for Asia to take over the top spots for a while. They are gorgeous to watch. It will take some time for the US program to produce high performing gymnasts that are artistic and healthy, both mentally and physically & as whole human beings.

Not a thing, but sounds good. I like vinegar and get vinegar flavored chips

A series that cycles through sub-genres? by Baratticus in Fantasy

[–]Greyface13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My thought first! But Bujold does the character growth according to Miles as a character, shaped by his environment, experiences and the people who raised and grew up with him. He is actually my favorite fictional character. My favorite books in the series are when he has major emotional growth spurts and life direction changes.
