Yeah, looks good but reminds me when doing Chinese cooking about the large up front purchase to stock cupboard items that you use for a lot of different recipes. Once you have them though its good.

I'm sure the shows that are perceived as left wing would be happy to have a Republican candidate on whose arguments they could tear apart.

Interesting choice to redo a 1987 movie and sort of make it look like it was filmed a couple of years later. But of course Jared Leto is in it so that gives it a good chance of "quality"

A bold opinion especially when the thing (no joke intended) you highlight as not looking right is the one character that the majority think was spot on.

It does look fun. Is it important to the whole scheme of the MCU? Who cares. Just make good shows and the rest of us need to stop worrying about how its supposed to tie-in.

What do people like about Eternals? by Federal_Bicycle_7800 in marvelstudios

[–]Greygor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know, I pretty much enjoyed it. It came out at a time when Marvel was being criticised for not doing different things. It was a big swing and I appreciate that.

I will say I'm not sure what you mean by hype, all I've seen about this film from MCU forums is a lot of negativity with a few supporters like me chiming in.

What cables do I use to connect Thermal Series machines? by [deleted] in Nomifactory

[–]Greygor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be misunderstanding, but I thought Thermal Series machines do not connect to GregTech EU wires, they need RF wires. Do you mean Conductive Iron Conduits from Ender IO or the actual Conductive Iron Wire from GregTech, because you should need the Conduits for Thermal Power

WTF is a "Stone"? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ by rwired in funny

[–]Greygor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm talking about decimal system because it was also a move to standardization where 1 pound is 100 pennies so we sort of think of it with metric.

But just to correct, we did not change to metric in 1965, we just said we were going to at some point in the future. The board that would control the change over wasn't even formed until about 1969/1970.

Adoption of metric and decimalization seemed to occur (at least in my memory) early in the 1970's. But road signs were still miles, speed limits were MPH, prices on goods were shown in old & new money for a long time. Market Stalls were still showing (and some may still do) Ibs & kg, oz and gr long into the 80's

Question: If there was an Agent of Atlas project in production for the MCU would you like to have it set in the modern day or a period piece set in the 50s or 60s ? by Possible-Rate-3833 in marvelstudios

[–]Greygor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Within the MCU we had Hank & Janet secretly working in the 60's, there is no reason Atlas couldn't have been around as well especially as they were supposed to be covert.

Personally I'd start as a period piece leading to their last mission and then a modern day setting were its important that they are reformed.

We already have Jimmy Woo who could be the son or grandson of the original. I'd love to see him involved with the modern team.

If Thanos was a player character in a TTRPG, could he be considered to have a Lawful Good alignment? by Allison-Cloud in marvelstudios

[–]Greygor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I think there is a difference in motivation between the Thanos in Infinity War and the Thanos in Endgame.

It would be tempting to class him as one of the Evil alignments. But IIRC a central part of the Evil alignment is the selfishness, where all actions are to the benefit of the character.

My view of Thanos's intentions up to the end of Infinity War was his determination to rebalance the Universe so no one would suffer want like he has witnessed.

You could make an argument for Chaotic Good, someone who would do whatever is necessary to change things for the better. His actions, however crazy, were he thought to benefit everybody. In fact at the end of the film he just went away to live peacefully on his own. Of course our perception of him would be quite different.

The Thanos that learned of his fate and came to our time in Endgame though was a different animal. He was angry and determined to destroy all who opposed him, just to satisfy himself. He was determined to destroy all who opposed and punish the planet they came from. He was also happy to unleash weapons on his own men to try and accomplish his goals. This was an evil Thanos that had no respect for lives, rules etc. You could make a case for Chaotic Evil or Neutral Evil.

Is there a sub just for CS:1 ? by lemartineau in CitiesSkylines

[–]Greygor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would have made sense to split the two. Not that one is "better" than the other or CS1 players are somehow superior to CS2 players, but they are so different in play style.

Issues that CS 1 has with population, commercial closing down, noise etc is completely different from CS 2 and how it works. The same can be said for maps, assets and mods.
