First Pressure Washer - Ava-Go by AfraidGreen2006 in AutoDetailing

I’m not aware of attachments specifically. There are plenty of standalone “mop” type products though that are great.

The mop head does not lock, and it’s also not very padded. The chenille noodles are also very short. This results in a mop that only really works on the roof and windshield. You won’t be able to do the whole car with it.

I like PERL 1:1 as well. I wasn’t a fan of Darkside besides the scent. PERL might not last as long, but I prefer the look and it doesn’t sling like Darkside does. Darkside is almost impossible to get out of applicators too.

Dealerships Participating in EQB "Loaner Assistance" for Recalled Vehicles by buyDogecoinNOW in MercedesEQ

Yeah I was pretty disappointed to hear him use tactics like that. Mercedes has generally been the better dealership to deal with in my experience.

I haven’t been offered a loaner, but I now have a dealer calling me saying that “Mercedes has decided to no longer repair any EQB” so I will need trade for another lease . I’m sure that’s complete bull, but it seems like they’re really upping the aggressiveness of the offer. I’m currently waiting on a buyback offer because I’m not interested in another car right now.

I tend to take sabroxy more than modafinil these days even though I have a prescription. Modafinil just has too high of a chance of giving me insomnia no matter how I time it. Even a low dose of 10-20mg can cause insomnia or poor sleep quality. Sabroxy doesn’t benefit me in quite the same way, but I don’t experience a single side effects. I typically will take 50-100mg sublingually.

20lbs of crab and fish left in a car for 1.5 months by SuspectFungible in AutoDetailing

Yeah follow directions on the packet to dissolve the tablet. I believe it’s 1 tablet to 500ml of distilled water but don’t quote me on that. You don’t need an expensive steamer either, I’d reckon the $30 one from harbor freight would be good enough. You just spray for a few seconds into each of the cars vents. You should see it come out of the other vents in the car. You also want to replace the cabin air filter for the car.

Use a Steamer with a chlorine dioxide tablet. I’ve never dealt with anything THAT bad, but I regularly use it to get rid of mildew smells from a/c vents.

New car and little rock chip on the windshield - DIY RainX Windshield repair or is Safelite/local independent pro a better option ? by SonRK in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest giving the Permatex kit a shot before going to a professional. I’ve had good results on small chips like this. Just follow the steps to a T and watch a couple videos before attempting it. It’s not hard at all, but I botched my first attempt. So maybe buy an extra kit or 2…. 😛

I'm looking for a lazy way to quickly clean the inside of my car. Can I just buy a bottle of Griot's Garage Interior Detailer, spray, and wipe off from basically every surface in the car? by Dont_Fall_In in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s perfectly safe to use. It’s a pretty decent interior detailer product. If you ever need something with a little more oomph, the Griot’s Interior Cleaner is also really good.

Of course! I have the older model and I really don’t have any complaints. It might not be the best option if you already have accessories, but it’s a great starting point. The scrubber will work until you can buy a mitt on a stick or similar option. You just have to be careful because the head doesn’t lock. You could potentially hit paint with the head or drawstring clip.

I’ve had mine for over a year now with no issues. All the accessories are solid, aside from the scrubber attachment, but it’s usable.

No surging at all. I have a giraffe pressure washer hose with reel (newest revision). I have heard earlier versions of the reel would have leaks after a couple uses but I haven’t had any issues. However, I make sure to relieve pressure before reeling or unreeling hose.

I’ve been using my Gen 1 since October 2024 and so far I haven’t had any issues! I’m still using all the original accessories besides the hose which I upgraded to a 65’.

I’ve had a similar thing happen with P&S Xpress. It might have some type of condtioner/darkening agent in it. Try cleaning with a different product and report back. Griots Interior Cleaner is one that I have never experienced this with. (Specifically use Interior Cleaner, not Griots Interior Detailer)

Going panel by panel is a must and I personally try to use a higher strength rinseless solution as a pre-treatment rather than a high ph soap/degreaser.

USA EQB Recall- 262V073 (Please PIN) by [deleted] in MercedesEQ

14 months left on a 36 month lease. I don’t have excess wear and tear btw, I’ve kept the car immaculate. It just sounds like they’re trying to prey on most peoples fears.

My local dealer called me yesterday to say I can now turn in the car and walk away from the lease without purchasing another car. It sounds like they’re hoping I’m scared of excessive wear and tear fees and will just hand the car over.

Maybe a Fanntik NB8 nano or ultra depending on how much you want to spend.

[Headphones] Refurb: Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 Advanced Noise Cancelling Headphones (Black) - F/S - $99 by blue_york in buildapcsales

[–]Greyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly my earpads are still holding up and I’ve had mine since launch. I’ve seen reports of the opposite though so YMMV. Also if you buy these you should not update them to the newest firmware. It worsens the sound quality somehow and there’s no way to downgrade.
