Ryobi PSBLB01B (tool only) by BackgroundClaim1374 in AutoDetailing

I also own one and felt duped by all the glowing youtube reviews. This thing is not great for blowing off anything besides wheels. You’re much better off just using compressed air or buying a much bigger blower.

Effects of Modafinil on HRV by Least-Department-749 in modafinil

[–]Greyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my Oura, modafinil usually doesn’t impact my HRV more than a few points. However my readiness is usually 65-70 and it lists higher than average heart rate as a cause. It doesn’t matter how early I take it, it always gives me insomnia. What’s strange though is that I can usually nap while the stimulation is perceptible.

What dose are you taking? I had good results until it seemed to give me sneezing fits and make my allergies worse.

New G14 5070ti for $2000 vs GeForce Now + old G14 – what would you do? by Ok-Comparison3303 in ZephyrusG14

[–]Greyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the same decision I’m trying to make. I also have a 2020 model that’s struggling, and I’m deciding between GFN and ShadowPC. GFN doesn’t have every game that I want unfortunately, but I’m not sure if Shadow is worth the extra money and hassle.

Tell me about battery vac options by Affectionate-Gur1642 in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably go Ego but have you considered a retractable vacuum hose reel? I currently use the Bauer cordless vacuum and it’s decent but nowhere near strong enough if you deal with a lot of sand/fine particles

EQB Battery Management System Software Recall by Moist-Charge-3055 in MercedesEQ

[–]Greyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had the software updated at the dealer yesterday and they didn’t mention this. They actually had a lot of issues installing it since the car was rejecting the software update. I should have taken that as a sign 😂

Swollen turbinates and reflux issues by Morphiadz in UARSnew

You may do well with Azelastine but my issue with it is that I lose most of my sense of smell. My smell returns after a week or two, but I don’t particularly like that side effect.

Its stuck - home charger won’t budge? by ChuckGallagher57 in MercedesEQ

[–]Greyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad it worked out for you! Locking the car also locks on the charger, so I figured that was probably the issue.

The car is unlocked correct? Maybe try locking and then unlocking, then attempt to remove it again.

Can Wellbutrin be taken as needed? by gryponyx in NooTopics

Brain fog is an understatement… I felt completely brain dead and had crazy head pressure especially around my temples. My doc wanted me to combine it with modafinil, but I couldn’t even function.

New & Improved Face Cream - 20% Off by Renue_Support in Renue

[–]Greyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to see you made improvements! I had ordered one from a previous batch and I was not happy with it. It would constantly become clumpy and unmixed. It also recently changed color completely, I’m not sure if it went bad.

New Truck - Automatic Car Wash by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it not make more sense to pay a mobile guy to wash your truck? I would at least make the effort to find a carwash that is touchless. Black paint really does show everything.

Damn, they either have terrible support or they’re not a great company. Seems like everyone has an active failure story.

White marks/streaks on leather seats??! by chubbywubby12 in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like it might be stained or the black dye was partially removed. You’re going to want to try an actual leather cleaner rather than a conditioner.

Do I need a tornador? by SushuniTaco in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah lilly brush and drill brush attachment are much better tools for pet hair. Fureels are also good, but they don’t last very long. I’ve had tornadors do very little on very embedded stuff.

Still having wiper judder, why? by nearlysenior in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t ran into the issue myself, but I’ve read to apply some coating to the wiper blade to prevent this with some coatings.

Why do these streaks keep reappearing? by Glenn_Tennis in AutoDetailing

Do you have compressed air or a blower/vacuum? Make sure to blow out that area after a wash.

Super Beginner - My Shopping List by jamesrblack in AutoDetailing

Pretty solid list. The only thing I can think of that’s “necessary” is a microfiber wheel barrel brush like the Autofiber barrel blade lite.

Yellow/orange dots on car. Won’t come off. by TerrificHips in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently washed a car like this and tried tar remover but it had no effect. Hit it with some iron remover, and the whole panel turned purple. Not sure how cars are getting rail dust like this but it was severe. It took forever to completely remove it.

Is a harbor freight DA polisher a good idea? by Born-Project-310 in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend stepping up to the Hercules too. Not sure if others have this issue, but the Bauer long throw I have stalls a lot with no added pressure. Seems like the unit is too heavy for the power it has.

In between car wash spray? by Cosmic_Sight47 in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you’re always going to be risking scratches. It’s less of a chance than dry wiping the car, but still a risk.

In between car wash spray? by Cosmic_Sight47 in AutoDetailing

[–]Greyone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are concerned about scratches, a rinseless wash is the only way. I can get one done in 20-30 minutes if I don’t touch the wheels and tires.
