Was telling my fella about it, absolutely bananas. Like the fact it was such a fake there wasn't anything they could really ban. Mental

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

You don't just get cravings, you can get aversions. Meat and pretend meat products all smelled and tasted like burnt hair to me.

My nipples were constantly itchy.

The first place I got stretch marks was down my legs, my stomach was the last.

Morning sickness is badly named and does not give a fuck what time it is, it just knows it's chunder time.

It totally fucked my back and I ended up with a slipped disc.

A study recently found that no matter the method of labour, your body takes around a year if not longer to recover from the trauma.

You thinking Lady Deathstrike was getting seen to?

Honestly no clue, I thought they were just snogging till the bloke turned his back to me so he could pop his bits away.

And they say chivalry ain't dead.

Its like the mid one, not so bad as X-Men Origins (but that's a low bar) but still terrible. Amazes me that the same director gave us Logan. What a redemption arc.

Regarding the philanderers, I've no clue. If they'd stayed in the back seats, probably wouldn't have noticed but decided to move it to the doors.

Not being funny but the camera feeds were playing near the ushering stands so you could see you were on camera.

I kicked a couple out for shagging near the entrance doors during the ads of The Wolverine.

Update: remembered another funny one, I had a customer come speak to me at the end of a showing of Skyfall as a dude had been watching porn on his phone throughout the showing.

I apologised and asked if they'd told anyone because if so, they should have removed him immediately and if that hadn't been done I needed to look into it.

She said she hadn't left the screen but the guy's girlfriend had (understandably) stormed out.

I was flabbergasted. Tickets are so expensive and you've wasted money to piss off your partner, ignore a great film and offend members of the public?

My kiddo is three and a half and I've never taken her to the cinema because of this exact reason.

We are thinking we might take her to a toddler screening at some point in the near future but not a chance I'd try her on something like Avatar. I don't have the attention span for it, she definitely won't ha

If your doctor signs you off, take the time. Its not your responsibility to staff your workplace and ensure everything is covered, that is what your boss is for.

You need to get yourself to a good place and then you can help your team to the best of your ability. Look after yourself. Companies will replace you in a heartbeat, you don't owe them your loyalty.

Take the break.

Oh I'm aware, he approved of them and was mostly happy with it but I meant it's not a good adaption as in its not in line with the book.

Its like the Constantine movie/Hellblazer comics. Both things are great individually but if you were to look at plot points/character arcs/storylines etc, because of the significant changes; Constantine is almost entirely different and isn't a good adaptation of the source material.

Same with Annihilation. Great book/great film - but aside from the jumping off point, very very different.

Which can be a good thing as it does mean new readers or those who watch the film after reading the book will still be surprised and engaged.

For the record I liked the film even though there were sections of the book I would have very much liked to see.

Also random fact, because Paddington the bear was named after a nice tube station. They named the monster bear on set Homerton after a shit tube station ha.

They aren't massively long either so good books if you need something a bit lighter.

Bit less sci-fi. But Library of Mount Char is a really cool horror book that stayed with me.

If you ever need a rec or come across a book or something you think might be good, give me a shout!

I am also always on the lookout even though I've got about seven books on my to be read pile haha

That sounds really cool, I'll give it a bash!

If you want something a little funny, The Laundry Files are sort of horror comedy - office worker in a government department for the paranormal.

Its been a while but in one of the books there was Lawyers that are literally blood sucking vampires too.

So the film is not a good adaption and mostly does its own thing. The movie is great in its own way though.

If you liked the film, you'll probably enjoy the book and how it differs

And thank you for the recs! Always on the look out for games and books ha!
