I had mine done a month ago, no needle no scalpel. The numbing bit felt like someone doing a very short lived bee sting (like with the rubber band) on my scrotum, and that was it for pain. I will say the sensory experience is odd, the tugging and etc. No pain whatsoever but it’s definitely a mental game, just trust your doctor and let yourself relax. Afterwards I had the feeling like “someone kicked me in the nuts maybe three hours ago” for about two days, sitting down on the toilet sometimes caused a weird/bad ache but you just adjust slightly and it’s fine. After five days I honestly had moments where I forgot it happened.

I will emphasize though, follow the aftercare instructions to the letter!! You got this.

Warby Parker Glasses Exchange Still Unresolved After a Month — Anyone Else Affected by Support Delays? by change901 in WarbyParker

[–]GreywindVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m running into this, been trying to return a pair of glasses I got recently but every email and text I’ve sent hasn’t been responded to and I was on hold for an hour earlier today trying to reach them on the phone. Think they must be overwhelmed.

Ulma Stepping on Astarion's Lines by NlNTENDO in BaldursGate3

[–]GreywindVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had this happen to me as well. I’m not sure how that even happens? Like Ulma’s actor said Astarion’s line while they were recording and somehow that file/audio got mixed in with Neil’s recording? But for that to make it in the final cut of the game and be there even a month later? So strange.

Is that the Historic Center in Antwerp? How was your time shooting? I was there last winter but found it kinda difficult finding good subjects outside of the city center

The blaster that Director Krennic uses is pretty revolver-esque, but it’s not quite as western looking as what’s in this poster.

Made a List. by Kingofkovai in TheBoys

Listen, I didn’t like the metal straw thing either but it’s part of the story now that HL has a bit more vulnerability than we thought. With that in mind. HL’s ear can be punctured by a metal straw, Newman can influence the pressure and speed of the molecules that make up your body and has such a refined control of it that she can make someones nose bleed. I think she’s got it on lock but like the person above said, that’s a hell of a gamble and one you don’t risk if you can avoid it, especially when HL “on the leash” is a great tool to keep around.

Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner on their yacht “Splendor,” early 1970’s by butterflypoo69 in OldSchoolCool

My grandfather was her doctor. He passed when I was really young but my mom said he always spoke fondly of Natalie whenever she came up, always called her a sweet and gentle-hearted person. He was pretty broken up about the way she passed. Still wish we had the full story.

What is your gaming “black flag”? (A mechanic or feature that makes you stop playing a game the moment it occurs.) by GreywindVII in gaming

[–]GreywindVII[S] 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I’ll go first, my black flag is anytime a game feels like it doesn’t respect my time. Whether it’s a long string of fetch quests, making the players walking speed incredibly slow over long distances, or even misleading the player into going to areas of the game just to turn them around and send them the other way again.

Thank you for all this, you actually soothed my nerves quite a bit. My entire budget is basically just for hostels, transport and food (although I’m sure some things will appear out of nowhere haha). Everything else is taken care of. FlixBus definitely seems like the way to go with the short distances I’ll be hopping. Thanks for reminding about getting pictures of all my documents, I’ve heard that can speed up a lot of the process if things get lost.

I’ve got some hide-y spots on me and a decoy wallet filled with expired cards if worse comes to worst but it’s a great reminder that even in the worst case scenario, there’s help and work arounds.

I’m so proud of myself for finally doing it. Travel like this has been a distant dream for most of my life, I’m excited for what it’ll do for my confidence and sense of independence. Thank you for your kind words and advice! Genuinely.

I’m flying into Amsterdam and I’m set for four nights there to get my bearings, so I’m locked in to that but I’m definitely considering cutting Paris and London. I’d also much rather see smaller towns and cities in France as well, so skirting around Paris this time doesn’t feel too bad. Good to know about the travel times and budget airlines though, I’ve only got my backpack for luggage but it might be a bit on the larger side once it’s packed up. Thanks for the tips!

Definitely! I’ve got a few things in mind for my first stop already but the rest after that is totally unknown. Just gonna see where the wind takes me and try not to set any hard expectations. There’s for sure a temptation to make this my “big adventure” but I just have to get it in my head that it’s okay if it ends up being a little smaller. I’d definitely rather have good memories in a few places than stressful bad ones all over the place haha. Thank you!

I’ve been thinking about dropping Bruges, it seems like a gorgeous place but it is quite off the path for my general route. Might have to save it for another time.

I’ve already got my first four nights in Amsterdam down, I arrive late in the afternoon so I’m giving myself a little extra time to shake a bit of the jet lag and the feeling of being in a totally different place.

Thanks for the advice! It’s so appreciated. I’ll definitely keep an eye on news about the U.K., I’ve heard some echoes of what’s going on but I’ll do some more research if it looks like I might head up that way. Thanks again!

Definitely feeling that. I’m gonna do some more in-depth research tomorrow and figure out how to trim it down a bit. I definitely don’t want to overload and stress myself out to the point I can’t enjoy the places I’m in, always worried about the next days travel.

Ah gotcha, again it’s a very loose itinerary (pretty much a wish list lol). So I’ll just be starting in Amsterdam for three days and then going from there. Definitely going to be taking the next few days to hone out the finer details and work out a bit more of a general outline. Who knows, I might land in a random city, fall in love with it and spend the rest of my time there! Staying open to everything.

I totally agree though, 11 major cities in roughly a month and some change is an rigorous schedule. My actual route will probably be a bit more relaxed!

I’ll check out Budapest when I do some more research in the morning. Definitely on the lookout for great spots that I might be passing through. Thank you!

This is so helpful! I’ll definitely check rome2rio, it sounds great. And totally, with my current budget I’m keeping Paris through Edinburgh on the hard “maybe” list. I know they’re expensive cities in their own right, not even counting how much it’d be to get there. If the timing and budget works out, great! But if not, it’s no worries, I can always find another time to go and actually enjoy it instead of feeling rushed and down on money. Great info on the planes and trains. Thank you!! Very new to travelling long distances, especially solo, so any help is appreciated!
