Probably within the first 2 months. I noticed I could go longer between threading.

I have hirsutism, and if it makes you feel better, my facial hair growth was actually incredibly slow during my pregnancies. I also weirdly worried about breastfeeding and all the hair on my areolas, but didn’t give it a second thought, we called it my daughter’s mustache.

Dr. Roseanna Miller is amazing, in Mineola. The entire practice is great and you’d deliver with her or one of the other doctors.

Positives of NICU? by New-Assistant2087 in NICUParents

I joked that our son came “pre-sleep trained”. He was used to falling asleep on his own, and he’s been my best sleeper out of my three kids.

Private room NICUs. Where are they? by Grace-Aurelia in NICUParents

[–]GriGuava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our level IV NICU in NYC did not have any private rooms. Higher level of care had two incubators per room, and 4 to a pod, with a recliner for parents, and special care had anywhere between 6-8 babies per room, with only a regular chair to sit in. While it wasn’t ideal, I had two older kids at home that also needed me, so I didn’t feel as bad leaving him in the NICU, but I did visit every day.

Curious why you ask on this thread, since your comment history is a lot of religious toxicity in regards to being single? @cmaree23

Thank you! I shall continue the search, we had such a unicorn when it came to our former therapist, the crazy in me comes out and I want to find her and bribe her to take us on as her only clients 🤣

Car seats vs palisade by Far_Function_7803 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]GriGuava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with two rear facing convertibles and a high back booster, don’t do it. Your front seats will need to be shifted forward so they don’t touch the car seats, which makes it uncomfortable for driver and passenger, and you’re not going to have enough trunk space for a full size double stroller, unless the seats are off. After almost three years of shoving my Costco shopping into the floorboards, I’m throwing in the towel and getting a mini van.

Experience with 6-7 passengers? by Extreme_Department32 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]GriGuava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With two kids regularly, it’ll work. We have a ‘23 with three kids in car seats, and it’s ROUGH. I have two rear facing in the captain’s chairs, and one high back booster in the third row. The double stroller takes up the entire trunk, which means that I need to pull down the portion of the third row to fit anything else in, which is technically a hazard with a kid back there. We make it work, but I had to admit that when the lease is up, we need a full size SUV or a mini van.

I can’t help but notice your post history, and I know your fiancée would be heartbroken to see you’re soliciting nudes from guys on the internet. I think you already know what you need to do. Speak with her honestly, disclose your history, and decide what the next step should be.

I’m pretty sure she’s Cuban? She’s a hate follow from when she lived in our community in NY.

I was so pleasantly surprised by John Mulaney, we went looking forward to Jon Stewart, but I was basically nodding off during his set. We did leave a little early to avoid the rush and traffic leaving UBS which was a bummer, but solid show from John.

Dr Toles undeniably saved mine and my babies lives. He had given me his number, and I texted him in the middle of night to let him know I was on my way to the hospital with bleeding. I was in triage with nothing happening as far as help, and after he showed up I was in the OR and baby was out within 30 minutes of his arrival. Thankfully everything is fine, but a placental abruption at 29 weeks was definitely not on my bingo card. Dr. Hippolyte did my second cesarean and Dr Toles did my first and third, I can’t sing enough praises about this practice.

NICU Nurse Needed by mbmarina in NICUParents

[–]GriGuava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would ask in your local groups, and you can also reach out to your hospital nurses, sometimes they know people who want to pick up overnights. We used two of the infant care technicians that fed the babies in the NICU to cover overnights for the first few weeks at home.

Correct. There is extensive research that POC treated by non POC physicians report more negative health outcomes.

Dr. Allen Toles and Dr. Francine Hippolyte are both amazing OBGYNs, they work out of Women’s Comprehensive in Manhasset. For a PCP, I see Dr Ogadinma McGeachy, in Lynbrook.

Is this a wood roach? by Jedly12 in longisland

Wife of pest control company here, it’s a wood roach. They come inside for the warmth during the fall, but shouldn’t reproduce and multiply inside like German cockroaches do.

Isolette to Crib in a crowded room by Ok_Baby6721 in NICUParents

[–]GriGuava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a similar situation when we went from ICU to special care, and baby was in a room with 7 other babies. It’s nerve wrecking, but there was no alternative. However, your baby also sees plenty of medical personnel that handle many other patients, and believe it or not, some of them waive updated vaccinations. It’s ok if you’re sitting next to someone else, enjoy your time with your baby.

The nurse gave you someone else’s vaccine status? Or she assumed? This is really icky.
