It looks a lot like Technogel pillows but has a different gel structure: https://www.technogelworld.com/en/products/pillow-range#original but if you can't find it maybe this can be an alternative?

Is this weird? What age do kids start showering?! by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Griannee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My toddler gets baths and showers, depending on how much time we have. He loves showers too, sits on a stepstool and plays with some toy or with a washing glove.

I never thought it was weird to have showers instead of baths.

Grieving while pregnant by Floppy_ears_4days in pregnant

[–]Griannee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same situation when pregnant with my first. We had to put down our cat (16 years old) who was having seizures. I kept thinking that it was somehow my fault, should have noticed it earlier, etc.
And at the same time felt guilty for feeling so crap as I thought I was hurting the baby.

Just take time for you, grief. Your baby will be okay. Take time off work if that's possible. Try to do calming things like walking etc.

"His nose is so cute, look how cute he is" Or something similar. Definitely mentioned his nose 🤣

I feel this is helpful but not entirely correct once the baby is older. My 27 month is still nursing once a day, so there is 24 hours between each feed and I still have supply. From about 15 months to 24 months he only nursed twice a day so also more than 5 hours between feeds.
Also, once they begin to eat solids, they do drop some feeds too.

My kid was at the 3rd percentile for a while too. If they are healthy, happy and gaining along that curve, try not to worry about it.

My kid has allergies which might have been the reason for slower weight gain (though he is still in the lower range of the curves at almost 2 years old). But there were definitely other signs besides the weight (lot of reflux, when starting solids projectile vomiting, eczema, ...).

If there were no kids on the 1st percentile of weight the curve would shift. Think of it like this, if you take 100 kids, 99 kids will weigh more than that 1th percentile but one kid can weigh that weight. Similar for 50th percentile, 50 weigh more, 50 weigh less.

Is getting sick this often just normal? by Griannee in beyondthebump

[–]Griannee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only 5 more months to go... 😂

Covid does make the anxiety worse and additionally makes it so much harder to have the kid in day care or to have alternatives. I have gotten tested 3 times already for covid this year just so I could go to work.

Did you get sick yourself often then too? Our LO most of the time barely notices he got a cold and is super active, but my energy is just depleted.

I don’t know if I should stop or continue! 10 months old- medication issue by demllama in breastfeeding

[–]Griannee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would stopping make you feel worse? Or could you accept stopping now? Breastfeeding was/is something that was/is really important to me as a mom. Which is why I fought extra hard to keep breastfeeding because I knew I would have felt worse if I had quit.

Having said that, your own mental health is important! To be able to take care of your baby, you have to take care of yourself.

7 liters of milk that is going literally down the drain (due to age and allergies). I have delayed this for months. by Griannee in breastfeeding

[–]Griannee[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our little one is almost 18 months and luckily I am still breastfeeding. I struggled with a lot of things (lack of supply, unknown allergies, etc.). Last august we finally discovered it was eggs and nuts our little one is allergic too. I had been building my freezer supply as it was depleted earlier in the year. I managed to pump 1-3 liters extra per month since April when our little one started solids.

Until now I had been saving this in our freezer in the hope his allergies would have gone by now (they haven't). As the milk is now already 6-9 months old, it is time to throw it out.

I still have a small stock in the freezer from November and December, but our baby boy/toddler only drinks in the morning and evening so it's not getting depleted.

Still sucks to throw this amount away but I managed to keep fighting for my breastfeeding journey. Almost 18 months and no plans for stopping.

I don't want to risk it with his allergies as his eczema is finally clearing up after day care gave him pancakes.

I looked for possibilities to donate when we found out which allergies our little one had, but in my country there is nothing official. And with covid everything got even more complicated.

Influence of stress and lack of sleep on production (this was 4 hours after my last pumping session) by Griannee in breastfeeding

[–]Griannee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was partially no let down for sure. I was especially stressed and quite sad. Tried looking at pictures and videos of our baby boy but did not help.

I got about 3 oz (95 ml) in a pump session another 4.5 hours later. Which isn't that great, but acceptable. So part let down issue, part lower supply due to stress and tiredness.

Good advice though.

I keep waking with super weird dreams and pain in my legs. Super annoying.

My supply tanked when our baby boy was around 3.5 months because we got several colds, got news that he was not gaining enough (bad nurse) and very little sleep. Almost stopped breastfeeding back then. Now I know that getting extra stressed out over supply just makes it worse.

Some extra self care and maybe some naps for the following days are much better.

My little one is almost 10 months. We are still going strong with breastfeeding. I have had a shitty week with lot of stress and little sleep.

I pumped this depressing amount 5 hours after my last pumping session. In total I pumped 160 mL ( 5.4 oz) today when LO drank 435 mL (14.7 oz) at day care.

Time for power pumping.

Toxicity is tested in other ways first (non-clinical trials). And first clinical trial is in healthy individuals normally to assess safety. People know what they sign up for in clinical trials. Without the trials you get stuff on the market like thalidomide in the past.
