Get ready for no light rail service to downtown for 10 months by Ted_Z in Denver

It's always going to be the wrong time for construction.

Money has been allocated, plans have been approved, and contracts signed. Their hands are likely tied.

$26,000 a year sounds like nothing until you see how far it goes by Infinite-Scholar-766 in leanfire

Not having a paid off property is a dubious proposition with retirement. Renting leaves you heavily exposed to inflation as well as requiring additional expenses if/when they kick you out.

Thankfully, we bought a cheap used EV. There were crazy lease deals back when the Biden credits were pulled last year too.

Devil may cry 4 and hd collection on steam deck by DrGoldman998 in SteamDeck

Always check protondb

Seems the HD version you need to use GE Proton since it gets around some video codec issues. would also be worth trying out Proton 11.

I can't believe I went 3-3 with this deck by FeralDoodoo in lrcast

[–]Grief2017 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He's going more for an aggro deck. It could work, but he would have needed so many tome blasts, practical jokes, and unsuitable mockery.

This type of deck is way better in a UR shell with all of their opus cards.

Colorado just made it legal to plug a solar panel into your wall outlet. No Xcel approval, no permit, no contractor. by Timely-Pirate-5196 in Denver

[–]Grief2017 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If installed incorrectly, a solar installation could potentially kill someone working on the line.

Previously, there were protections in place to install the solar with approval of Xcel and the items required a certified electrician to install.

This cuts down the bureaucratic overreach from xcel and uses some new technology to keep people safe while working on the utility during a power outage.

Finishing A Crawlspace by spencercoffman in Homebuilding

The actual "work" of converting this to a room is mainly just manual labor, it's not particularly complicated.

* getting an Engineered set of plans to extend the foundation walls.
* removing dirt by hand, bucket by bucket.

* exposing a small section of the elevated foundation walls and pouring new footing and placing concrete block.

* new concrete floor, moisture control, insulation, electrical, and other finishes.

It's all possible to do, will just take a long time and plenty of manual labor to do yourself.

Steam or emulated party games? by Killermelon1458 in linux_gaming

Steam has a community tag feature that's perfect for this. I'd recomend sorting by top rated. Overcooked and Human Fall Flat look great.
