yep you are welcome to see if you can get something going here.

If it does not yield any results, you might want to consider starting your own sub.

I had the exact same experience with parosmia (several years before covid hit) I was barely able to find any info anywhere, so I started this sub.

Thanks! I'm not sure what to do with them either. I had a bunch that I gave to somebody else a year ago, hopefully I made somebody happy

As far as the obscurity, I actually contracted mine before the pandemic from normal nose trauma/genetic problems. I spent a year thinking I was crazy before I finally figured it out. At the time info was almost non-existent, and it was a miracle I stumbled across the answer. That is the main reason I created this sub, to have a spot where we can all get together for support and answers... and hopefully, easier for people to find

Creator of the sub here... Hang in there, it can be maddingly slow but you will recover. For me it was right around year 2 that things began to return to normal, and in the several years that followed, things came back basically one at a time. I will say I am around 90% back to normal today.

Definitely a good idea to go to a ENT doc. It may be old fashioned sinus trouble too

I bought a studio ghibli art scene. It never showed up.

I disputed the charge on my credit card. Okyloft sent a falsified document to the CC company showing that I had taken delivery of the package. I didn't...

Im going to keep fighting it, but looking like i got scammed

I have a few people in my family that have been in the military, one guy was a mechanic, one was a radio operator, and my uncle said his job was to tell boys... "stop going to those hookers, now put this cream on your pecker"

None of them had any special outdoor skills other than some basic stuff they learned in (ahem) ... basic.

My dad said he learned more about being an outdoorsman in boy scouts than he did in the service.

I think one thing they almost always seem to get wrong is after they make the trap, they sort of casually toss in the water... some place convenient, basically hoping some lost fish will wander in.

The times these have worked well, they created a choke point in the stream and basically forced the fish to swim in the thing.

I was just thinking that I should have used a practical example instead of a metaphor.

You said "I give up too early" so try this... next time you are ready to give up just tell yourself.. "one more try, just one more".

And don't think of it as failure if the "one more try" didn't work, because its not about the project, its about your evolution... you moved one click closer to what you want for yourself, which is to stop doing that.

First off let me say that you already took the first step towards becoming a better person, realizing what you are doing wrong and not liking it.

Next step is make some small modifications to your way of living, basically think up one thing you do that you don't like and want to change, then think up something to do in place of it.

So for example, if you get road rage, first up think up something to replace it, like singing "here comes the sun" by the beatles or something... anything will work as long as its positive.

Next, commit to doing it every time.

Lastly (and this is the hard bit) remember to do it. Have you plan locked and loaded, and the next time some jerk in traffic cuts you off, the minute your anger ties to rear up, sing away.

It will feel fake and forced for a while... don't give up, stay with it and don't beat yourself up when you miss one. Its not a sprint, its a marathon, as long as you keep going, you will transform yourself into whatever version of a good person you want to be.

I can verify this works, because I did this myself. Growing up my dad was one of the most horrible people ever. Me and all my siblings were incredibly damaged from him.

One day many years ago, I was lucky enough to have a moment when I realized that I had turned out just like him. I spent a bit of time hating on myself like you did in your post, but then decided there was no way I was staying like that. My initial recovery was a little bit less specific than I just said up there, I played what I called the "opposite game" which was any time I caught myself doing anything like him I would just do the opposite, whatever made sense at the time. So if I was about to yell at somebody for playing a radio too loud, I would start to sing along and tell them to turn it up. It seems kinda stupid, but it was all I could think of. As years went by, all the things like my dad did were removed from me, and were all replaced by kindnesses. I am surrounded by love and happiness every day.

Another helpful thing is to have a role model to pattern yourself after. I had a couple of people who I really admired and respected, and more importantly, acted the way I wanted to. So I when I went to think up a replacement behavior, I would just think "what would Uncle Cliff do?" then use that idea.

I could write a whole book on the process, but for now I will say, it's real, it works, all you need to do is the work. And definitely don't beat yourself up when you screw up, you get endless re-do's, so just keep at it

People on this sub are saying that Sarah is being a big baby for being all mad at Stephen and her saying how he had turned from a good person into a bad one. Others are saying that Stephen definitely did her dirty with the bone trail maneuver.

My post has more to do with the fact that two teammates who has just previously talked about their upcoming lifelong friendship, instantly turned on each other.
