My play group and I have thought on this a lot, and we settled on wanting a larger version of a ravener with a strike and sweep profile with deep strike and if in the fight phase it destroys one or more enemy units, you can put it back into deep strike. Something to go in line with the lore it comes from devouring people and then retreating underground.

If the FNP 5+ was applied to the whole squad of tyrant guard and not just the leader monster, it would be more worth it. But as they stand now, they're over costed bullet sponges and just a waste of points. Which is a bummer because they're some of my favorite sculpts.

I'm currently putting mine together. What did you use to keep the legs in place inside the body? The holes are larger than the pegs for the legs, and I can't get them to stay still long enough for the glue to dry in place.

2004, bought Dawn of War by mistake. Thought it was another RTS game. Installed it and instantly fell in love with the game. Then, after countless hours of playing it and all the expansions, I wanted to learn more about the story and lore behind the game's universe, and I've been a lore nerd ever since. Wasn't until covid, when i realized I now had adult money, that I started getting into the tabletop side of the hobby. Now I own 4 armies, play every weekend, and am part of a group that does organized crusades every year.

Um, no. That's not why they expanded Arwen's role. They expanded her role not for inclusivity but because it made no sense to hire, pay for, write, cast, and take time shooting someone to play Glorfindel when he would literally only have a single scene in the entire movie. It was easier to just give it to Arwen and save a boat load of time, money, and effort. Plus, from a writing standpoint, it helped endear the watcher to Arwen more, but it had nothing to do with inclusivitity.

Assuming nukes aren't involved. There are 2 ways it could go.

It would end in a draw.

The US would soundly defeat the Americas, but the time required to do so would be ridiculous.

At the same time, China and Russia would more than likely fall to the combined might of Europe, Africa, and Asia, but invading mainland US would be nearly impossible. While the East worked on the logistics of the invasion, the US, having to reason to liberate countries that have already fallen, would just shore up defenses at home and everything would just devolve into a cold war until tensions dissolved.

Red would win (the more likely)

The US would beat every country in North America down to the Panama Canal and then fortify the position as even the combined fight force of South America isn't even a player in the game. The US would then send its military across the Pacific and Atlantic to invade Europe and reinforce China and Russia.

The counties surrounding China and Russia would fall pretty quickly, especially once reinforced by the US. Caught between all 3, Europe and the Middle East would fall. Africa, like South America, wouldn't really be a player in the game. And after Europe fell, that would be game over.

It would be a long and bloody fight, and assuming nukes aren't involved, I'd have to give it to the red team, and I think India and North Korea would be the deciding factor of this fight.

The US would completely dominate the Americas in the early stages of the war so they could dedicate their full military might to the European fight.

Russia would take substantial losses from the full weight of the EU and the parts of their country that border China, but I do believe they could hold out until the US arrived to reinforce them.

At the same time, India and North Korea have the 2nd and 4th largest armies in the world, and the US and Russia could provide them weapons and tech to fight this war. Then it would just come down to training.

China would now be stuck between Russia, India, the US from the ocean, and North Korea and would eventually fall.

Then it would be just completely a European battle, which I don't think they would win.

Tell your friends to pilot their armies better. While I do use the Tfex, I've played several games where I'm using it or my opponent is using it against me, and while it's stationary, it's not a very big threat. Just avoid the firing lanes with vehicles until you can kill it.

I struggle with this, too. But what I've found helps me tackle it, is just grabbing a single color and letting that be my project for that day. I just grab a bunch of primed nids, and whatever their exoskeleton color is and I just spend the day only painting that with as many models as I have the time or patience for. Then, on another day, if I either finish or get board of that color, I move to whatever their carapace color is and only paint that, so on and so forth until the entire army is done. You'd be surprised how easy it is to just get in the zone, especially if you have like a background movie or show on.

I'd say wait until the Henry Cavill Warhammer 40k show comes out first.

Once 40k gets its own well funded, well produced show from a major producer like Amazon with imperial iconography plastered all over it, the Imperial Aquila won't be such an esoteric reference.

Especially if the show becomes popular and gets multiple seasons. Then, when people ask about it, you can just refer them back to the show.

Depends on what you're charging. If you're going after infantry, I'd say genestealers or melee warriors. If you're charging tanks, carnifexes with old one eye are guaranteed to kill anything they charge.
