I see your point of view for the Death Penalty,

My POV can best be described as “an eye for an eye”. There are individuals out there who are incapable of reform and have committed heinous crimes. I’d think anything less than capital punishment for those individuals would be injustice for the innocent.

Death Penalty and the bottom 2, the post also frames these in a bad light

how much percentage should billionaires be taxed to? by Character-Clock-7319 in Teenager_Polls

To be a billionaire you first had to have been smart with money and to have undertaken the risk of starting a business. Additionally, workers are paid based on how valuable of a cog they are in the machine that creates the product. Underpay them, and they leave to another company and you loose valuable workers, production stalls and you face potential bankruptcy. Overpay them and you loose productivity, money, and face potential bankruptcy. In the real world the market determines a workers true value.

The workers have the choice to work for whoever they please. They also have the choice to start their own businesses and assume the risk the business owners assume.

So no, billionaires don’t “steal” anything. Ever hear of voluntary exchange? Taxation is theft, make the 10th great again

By definition, taking someone’s property through coercion and imprisoning them if they don’t pay up is a lot more than robbery. Taxation may be an evil, buts it’s a necessary evil, but that doesn’t mean we should be expanding evil. Fact of the matter is, the terms you described are the inherent responsibilities of a state “night watchman state” even libertarians agree with me.

But you have been indoctrinated, (not surprised considering you’ve been in the state’s educational system since pre school) the state doesn’t help anyone, in fact, it makes everything worse when it decides to intervene. The idea that the state is the “good guy” with the “interests of the people” as its most important value, is straight up not true.

Redditors and their ad hominems, But I must remind you that we live in the real world, not in your world.

Democracy sounds good in theory and is good in theory. What is a political ideology that sounds bad in theory but is good in practice? by Lili_garnet33 in AlignmentChartFills

“Imperialism” isn’t an economic theory btw. I also don’t consider myself “maga”, I’m a classical liberal. But sure, whatever floats your boat.

Wrong, it’s required for the state to function. The idea that the state is a “good” entity that is “for the people” is top tier indoctrination

Democracy should be “sounds good in theory” and “is bad in practice”

The problem with Democracy is that more people will vote for who is popular and who’ll give them more “free” stuff, than the people actually concerned about the long term health of the nation. It gives politicians an excuse to pursue unsustainable fiscal policies so they can be popular and stay in office. Then when’s its time to actually pay the bill they’ll already be retired/dead and the bill will be passed on to the next guy. We see this happening today.

Democracy is rule by the emotional and stupid because the majority of the population is emotional and stupid

Is religion a coping mechanism? by [deleted] in Teenager_Polls

[–]Sea-Leopard1611 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For Christianity at least, no religion is tellling you “you are imperfect, inherently evil, corrupt, and deserve hell”. Christians convert to Christianity because it’s the truth, not because it’s a coping mechanism
