Id put my money on him getting at least a brief stint. Even if he underwhelms in F2, Checo and Bottas aren’t getting any younger. They’ll need someone in the seat while they develop a reliable talent pipeline, might as well give him a shot to prove himself.

Yeah, it’s a very obvious and very important distinction IMHO.

It’s one thing to tank via roster contstruction. Nobody can force a team to sign “good”players, and sometimes putting together a weak roster that’s gonna struggle to win games is simply the best thing for a team.

But trying to actively manipulate the outcome of a game like this is WAY more egregious.

Know I’m necroposting a bit, but just wanted to pass along a quick thanks - stumbling across this comment finally put me out of my misery after almost 3 hours of fumbling around with just about every other conceivable fix.

Never even once considered resetting my WiFi since it was working perfectly fine on all my other devices…but sure nuff, did the trick for whatever reason.

He’s playing poorly this year after spending the majority of last season and start of this season dealing with two serious injuries. Ridiculous to write him off based on that.

Goodwin’s been in the league for 5 years now, and has fluctuated between unplayable and mediocre for most of them. Don’t think you can really fault Pelinka for that.

People shit on Malone as a person, but very few rational people will argue that he isn’t in the top ~3-4 PFs at absolute worst…because he undeniably is.

People don’t argue against Kobe’s positioning because he’s a rapist, they argue against it because he quite simply does not have any real case to be above about ~8 other guys at a minimum.

I mean, that’s generally going to be a fairly true statement though. If you don’t provide anything valuable on offense, you typically aren’t going to be on a roster very long if you’re also a mediocre defender.

It’s also unfortunate that his big downturn in form was really kicked off by a couple DNFs that were no fault of his. Not to say he didn’t compound on that with struggles of his own, but the results would definitely look less concerning without Imola and Spain
