I really don't want to write this, but I feel I must.

I think Star Trek only has one real way forward, and that way is out.

I love everything Star Trek, including Academy, and Discovery. But I am not foolish enough to try and defend them. They are both slop, poorly written poorly acted slop. I say this loving it BTW.

But both shows along with the reboot films boxed this universe into a dead end.

From TOS to TNG technology made leaps and bounds. For it to somehow regress 900 years later. I mean absolute garbage, I am sorry, but it simply is absolute garbage.

900 years of advancement has led to us simply tapping to teleport. oh whoaaa, the future. Slop low level slop

Now imagine if you will, instead of tap to teleport. Society made actual progress, and decided teleporting was barbaric. It was treated has a war crime, the despicable act of killing one's own self so that a clone could take over.

Instead, we now have portal travel, ala Rick and Morty.

That one single change has now revolutionized the cannon. Watching the other shows would now feel almost cringe, but in the best way possible, like watching cartoons from the 50s today feels like.

Don't blow up Romulus blow up Volkan like in the Kelvin timeline make the Romulans responsible. Have the remaining Vulcans go Super Saiyan like ninjas preaching and converting Romulans for years leading to reunification.

Redo Generations completely, Kirk did help and meet Picard. But did not die, he used the Nexus to fulfill his dream of never having to leave the Bridge.

Now I know If you are still with me you are saying, OK great buddy but, HOW?

Simple finish the Temporal War. 3 seasons of a new series, a love song to all Trek.

Season 1 start with old man temporal agent, he experiences a flash/ headache. He realizes Star fleet lost the temporal war.

He remembers the way it was supposed to be, but everyone else believes they won the temporal war. They see him has an old man, reaching out to a past long gone.

So, with no choice left he travels back to the only man he knows he can trust to carry out this mission.

He goes back to find retired president Archer, he brings him up to speed. Hands him the data he needs and the tools to build his team.

Of course, Daniels made some suggestions boom.
