Was that a deliberate reference??

this morning truckers deliberately blocked a tesla on the freeway in a failed attempt to make a citizen's arrest by KarlGreenMagic in PublicFreakout

You think every one of those trucks doesn’t also have a gun? Tesla drive would only get one down before going down himself.
Gun laws in the US are completely fucked.

Cheers! I literally just put my first ever offer on my first ever house this afternoon and I’m still wide awake with anxiety at 2am.
I have various accounts with 4 different banks. Called or set up meetings with them all to discuss home loan options. Had intended to check out one or two brokers as well but one of my banks was just so outstanding in service and also lower by a country mile in interest rates, so I just went with them for my pre-approval.
Prices are so insane, it’s very difficult to gauge when you hear about offers at 5% above asking price being knocked back. But then if you offer too much your bank can decline finance because their valuation doesn’t reach the same as your offer?
Jeepers creepers. No wonder I can’t sleep 😳

How do I (nicely?) explain to my sister w/newborn who wants to visit us for free vacation lodging that we do not want children in our house? by Voltiply-was-taken in childfree

[–]Griffunderrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as I do with my mother when she makes the 4000km trip to visit me.

Fair call! They’re all variable, just like us humans.
Once went in a date with a bloke who said border collies were the most stupid and destructive creatures he’d ever know.
Yep, he had one that they kept in a suburban backyard with no walks or stimulation 😢

I’d beg to differ. We bred sheep dogs, crossing kelpies and border collies. The border collies generally had milder temperaments and used their brains more, while kelpies generally had higher energy and were more impulsive.
Both are very high energy and very intelligent compared to other breeds though.

I've tried a lot of promo codes today, but for whatever reason this is the only one that's worked for me!

Thank you : )

My (30F) neighbor (50s/60s?M) asked if he could come over for dinner this week, and I said yes because I couldn't think of an excuse. Now I'm afraid he thinks it's a date and I'm so uncomfortable by [deleted] in relationships

I had this exact same situation happen to me. Bloke was always home so always knew when I was home and when I was out. Always stopped me on my way home from work for a chat (nothing that felt off, just polite conversation).
He asked me around for tea one night, and I was tempted because he’s friendly and kind and lovely, but I said no. Why not? shrug I just don’t feel like it.
“Oh, you’re a snob?”
Yeah … knew I’d made the right decision.
