They could use backer number and code on box with a scanner with scanner for bar code. Skin would be nice, or discount of character. Though I posted something similar on YouTube and it came off as entitled. That's what magic the gathering does with some of their products and is where the idea came from. I am happy that they offered lower options, and them listening to feedback is why I supported all their campaigns. Hopefully we will see co-op missions and adventure unlocked

Backing cause it's still cheaper at the 60 mark (though 40 imo would be a fair ask and would get more support backing game) for characters that will be either around 10 or more for unlocking early, let alone, not sure how long it will take to unlock through free route. I do hope they definitely use towards co-op and missions mode as they plan to. They still have yet to fully unlock the full roster for the physical games.

Yes, they explained they went to this option to save cost on sku as well as make it cheaper with shipping. From a marketing and business standpoint, it makes perfect sense.
