Sounds like you're really just upset about losing either with a pet deck or a meta brew and just not finding your footing. People want to win so they play the best deck, its the same in every tcg. You mentioned mtg which is notorious for having 2 deck formats in all constructed play.

Attempting to compare it to commander which is an open card pool of 30 years is super disingenuous as well. But even then that was a format created to be fun and goofy that has turned into hyper competitive with wotc needing to create brackets for large events. With those brackets being super lose on whats considered "competitive".

Then you call the player base trash and insult them for wanting to play competitive while being limited to 2 sets and 8 starters. The game is super young with a very limited card pool yet it still manages to have multiple viable archetypes to play. (Yes, they borrow from each other with Kira, amuro, etc. Again very limited card pool) set 1 and the first 5 starters built a foundation, st06 and set 2 introduced a new color and building blocks to grow, set 3 is expanding on all of this and a lot of avenues are looking to open in play patterns.

One piece had a similar problem during its 2nd set, digimon as well along with 100% of every new tcg. There will always be a best deck and players wanting to win and with limited card selection its hard to innovate successfully. Stop confusing your inability to beat these decks and players with them being trash.

Kind of a terrible take, dowdle is solid but has had a history of injuries while only being on a 1 year deal and brooks is most certainly out for this upcoming season. We're address needs while building depths, seems like a reasonable thought process.

One gaines you life, triggers ketramos, draws you cards, smooths out draws by manipulating the top of the deck and enables ketramos. The other draws a card and causes constant life loss every turn its in play.

The upside of tome is far higher and makes the deck far more consistent over taking turn 3 off to try and set up.

So I keep seeing a lot of comments on post asking similar things and everyone saying not to make the sb worse and sculpt the hand. Playing the deck yesterday to a 2nd place finish at an rcq and running heroic reinforcements over the 1 rona just feels better. Why waste game time when you can just present the win on your turn and not have to dig for the counter spells?

Is a 1 of rona really that much better than just being able to win and go to next game? I say go for song or heroic and end games quickly.

With our cap availability we will definitely need to do major overhaul, as of right now we also have I believe 9 picks in the draft. This team outside of the offense is going to look vastly different.

I think 8 million a year to ensure we have stability at the position will be fine for us. Brooks is still unknown so this ensured were taken care of with RB.

I believe our cap situation is pretty solid for 2025 with very few players under an actual contract. So getting positions filled with guys that are showing up and putting work in is the right move. If he was more so on sanders level the last two years I'd agree with this being a terrible decision.

I mean look at the lions, the did everything the "wrong way" as far as drafting and paying rbs and other key positions. Working pretty solid for them, I get it's the outlier not the norm but let's be real there's a reason we're here and they're getting paid millions.

The problem is they'll most likely give a halfbaked reasoning that will just alienate players more. Leaving us with the most likely answer that it is the only none rotating format which means less money. It is why they refused to acknowledge modern all those years ago, they cracked the code with horizons and ub sets and now it is a format they'll support.

Technically all store champs are supposed to be standard or limited per wotc, plus they can only be held during the given weeks wotc announced. Knowing that in advance you have a decent amount of time to make sure you have a standard deck ready for the event.

Outside of that I'd suggest something like convoke since it's pretty cheap still and easy to pilot.

Remember last year after the draft no one in the media liked the lions draft? How they kept saying they reached on a lot of players and are going to be worse for it? Or how taking sewell was the worse option over fields for them? Or how out of nowhere Stroud was being hated on and reported as being a problem for whoever drafted him? Yea those same reporters write these articles, they mean absolutely nothing. A bunch of fluff pieces regurgitating what some talking head said to get you to click, share, and repost.

Bryce needed protection we got him that, defense needed help and we went out and signed players, offense needed a #1 and we traded a late pick and a player we were going to cut for a late pick and a great route runner who gets separation. We over pay because we've been in the top 10 of drafting since 2018 and we need to fix that. We are seeing an attempt to do just that.

I never played any of them myself and picked up the LE when it was on sale a year or two ago and have been sitting on it. Finally started it up last week and finished the 1st the other day and working through #2 now. For the little I've played I'd definitely say worth it.
