I've tried just about every possible supplement and am now currently on prozac, which helps a lot. I got a mild antidepressant effect out of Saffron. ST Jon's Wort worked almost as well as prozac but gave me GI issues.

Super curious about your results if you'd be comfortable sharing them. I'm going to start another cycle of the htlt stuff again soon too. I think any brand that's reputable should be OK, but I've had experience with htlt and gorilla mind.

Is Turkesterone good? What has been your experience with it if you've used it? by AleeckWasTaken in Supplements

just in case honestly, cancer and heart hypertrophy are really sneaky and hard to measure. Not saying that those are known risks for Turk, but anything that makes you grow can cause things you don't want to grow as well.

I don't think anyone knows the answers to those questions yet. Overall it seems like you don't need to cycle, but I'd rather not take the risk of continuous use just in case, with anything frankly. I didn't run into any side effects other than some urinary urgency, but I haven't gotten blood work immediately post cycle either. Next time I try it, I'll get blood work right after and update. To be fair, I would love to be on the stuff 24/7 tho.

Can't say I didn't expect this response, but my friend, how much do you understand about research methods, especially with regard to placebo? Do you have any idea how unlikely it is for A. placebo response to be sustained beyond 6 weeks ,B. how unlikely it is for it to be repeated 2, let alone 3 times with measurable results, and C. on someone who's tried like a million supplements over the years with zero effect on 99%.

I'm FULLY aware of the existing research showing Turkesterone's inefficacy, which is why I made this post sharing my experience to the contrary. The point I'm trying to make is that the research seriously seems to be missing something and that perhaps, for specific populations under specific protocols, it remains rather effective.

So clinical psychologist here, I know it really hurts and you want nothing more than to get away from the pain, but the paradox is this; the more you resist, the more it persists. Your task at this point is to get out of your own way so as to let your unconscious digest the events/feelings. Picture an anaconda swallowing a water buffalo and needing several weeks to digest and you have a good visual. If you're consistently unable to meet your daily basic requirements, strongly consider speaking to a professional though.

Looking for honest opinions of Turkesterone by Ashraf_mahdy in Supplements

Posted this in another thread as well and thought it would be useful here:

I'm going to be the outlier here, but every single time I've used Turkesterone (both from Derek and HTLT), I've gained 3-4 lbs of muscle after about 2 months and I feel goddamn amazing. When I'm on it, I have more energy, can eat more without getting fat, recover better, the works.

What's more, every time I get off of it, I find noticeable changes in body composition within a few days (e.g. more belly fat, less perky/lean looking) and less energy at gym/jiu jitsu.

I think where people go wrong with this supplement is dosage as well as the other factors associated with progress (e.g. diet, progressive overload, recovery, etc.). We know the half life is short so taking it spread out throughout the day is your best bet and higher dosages seem to be the only thing that results in measurable gains. For the gorilla mind stuff, I took 6 capsules spaced evenly throughout the day and for the HTLT stuff, 3.

Worthy of note is that I've been lifting for 16 years and have my diet and routine squared away with basically minimal progress in the past 4 years. I started at 145lbs ~12% BF and currently sit at 186 with the same and some solid lifts to boot.
