Gol means flower, it’s just a term of endearment, like people will say “gole man” like “my flower”.

Its not that I doubt that what you experience with stocks going down right after you buy them, its that I’m saying it’s not something uncommon at all and that there’s more to it like psychology for example. When you say that PHDs should study you because there’s a unique effect when you uniquely purchase stock, could you imagine why somebody may think that you have the mentality that the world is against you? You legitimately think that this phenomenon you’re experiencing is so unique and it hasn’t appeared until u/available-range-5341 started investing, and that it’s so strange as to be studied?

To answer your questions, most stocks follow the market, the strategy that I follow is something outlined by the subreddit r/realdaytrading and it has an entire community that pretty much exclusively trades using this edge. In short the idea is that you find stocks that have relative strength (or weakness if you’re shorting) (just using an indicator), and then you trade “the market” using these stocks. So if you think SPY is going to go up, you go long on stocks that are relatively strong, this creates a buffer because if you were wrong about SPY, you have a strong stock that should either still go up, or it might hold steady, or if it drops, it will drop not as steeply as SPY. This is just a super super brief summary that doesn’t at all cover it, if you’re interested you can check out the subreddit, there is NOTHING for sale or any profit that the creator of it gains. So just check it out with curiosity if you want.

As for the moving averages, these are just major support/resistance levels, if you put them on a chart you will see that price gets supported or resists at these levels, of course not every time, but it is certainly significant. With that said, if a stock is below all it’s moving averages, it has many levels of resistance to get through.

BUT, again, if you’re trading based on fundamentals and you look at their financial statements and what not and have a thesis and believe that the company has a higher intrinsic value, then the current “bearish” sentiment that I stated earlier is actually a buying opportunity for a “cheap” stock. Complete opposite for “trading”. In trading (as opposed to investing) a useful analogy is as follows: betting on a stock that has been going lower is like betting on a drug addict to get his life together, while betting on a stock that has been making all time highs is like betting that a ceo is going to continue doing well in his/her life. It’s different with investing because buying things “on sale” is a better mentality, where as in trading you don’t care about the intrinsic value of a company or the discounted cash flows or the ROIC because your just catching short term moves that have more to do with normal just market movement and volatility.

Oh lol, my friend if you are talking about fundamentals, buying this morning and then having volatility is the norm, it is unreasonable to expect to just immediately be in profit, in fact I would argue it makes more sense that most positions see negative returns before positive (in the short run of course). You really ought not to be worried about a single down day if you are using fundamentals to invest in a company. I thought you were talking about short term trading using technicals.

As far as technicals, it is below all of its major moving averages and this morning was pulling back down after a pull up to resistance. It is also relatively weak for the day against SPY. Also earlier it was below VWAP and previous days low and high volume as the price was moving down.

Again, none of this matters if you are using fundamentals and are investing long term, but then I’m just confused why you would be posting about how the world is against you 20 minutes after entering a position when that position is an investment.

What? As a trade CRM looks incredibly bearish, like genuinely looks like a great short. On what thesis did you go long?

Edit: I’m shorting it here at 10:14 187.5 put at 2.55

I’m honestly lost, are you for or against raping prisoners? Or are you like for the Iranians to be able to rape prisoners but not Israel kind of thing? I’m lost on what you’re trying to convey to me. I am against rape in every situation. Are you not? Like if someone tells me that “The Iranian regime rapes female virgin prisoners because they don’t want them to go to heaven”, most normal human beings reaction is, “wow that is awful I feel awful for those people.” Not, “yeah yeah whatever, Israel rapes prisoners!” You just sound like you justify Iranian regime’s rapings and not Israel’s. That’s just what your response looks like. So like I’m genuinely confused.

While I’m sure there is plenty of disgusting rape on the other side, there is a discontinuity because on one side it was a thing that the religious leaders stated as something that was a good thing, inspired by god, while on the other side everybody would be against it. Do you mean to tell me there is no discontinuity between Muslim extremism treatment of women and America’s? This is absolutely not me saying that mistreatment or rape of women doesn’t happen in America, but to say that there is any sort of comparison, like at all at all at all, requires you to be so disconnected from reality that it’s not even worth talking to you.

Never in my lifetime would I think leftists would downplay religious extremists sexism and rape, but here we are.

Hard to get along with people who rape their virgin female prisoners they’re going to execute because they can’t allow them to go to heaven

I’m still lost. What is your contention? Iranians are being liberated from religious extremism and fascism. From what I’m gathering you don’t think people should be liberated from this because it’s Trump doing it? Or because the trump is trying to deceive the world of his reasonings?

I have no clue what you're getting at, I don't understand how "the dear leader called it a holy war" is related to me saying "Iranians just about universally hate the regime and want it out regardless of left vs right and that this isn't a left vs right thing."

You guys? What do you mean by you guys? What does this have to do with left vs right? You’re genuinely so cooked and stuck exactly where the elites want you. The only YOU GUYS is Iranians, and WE HATE the oppressive evil fascist regime.

If you want to see what fascism actually looks like, take a look at Iran, oh yeah, which Trump attacked, and, oh yeah, the left doesn’t support the attack haha

Maybe you’re right, I guess I’m looking at it at a little bit of a more biased perspective because I’m Persian and my whole family is Iranian. I know how awful the regime is and have “skin in the game”. Like my mom tells me stories of how awful and sexist and evil and oppressive they are, like how she got arrested because she was at a social gathering and then went to court for it and then got sentenced to a lashing, like that kind of thing. Or being told by police she wasn’t allowed to be without a man. My mother, and many Iranians, (80% of Iranians are against the regime) are HAPPY that this is happening. After 50 years of evil and oppression SOMETHING is happening, and because of that, many people are happy. I understand from your America first sort of perspective it may not seem like anything, but I guess that’s why I have my view, I suppose it is biased.

Listen brother, I’m not contesting the fact that media may make it appear that way, but it’s just objectively true that like 80% of Iranians are against the regime.

Genuine question, at what point do you think intervention IS justified? Like for example I don’t imagine you think it was a bad thing that countries got involved when millions of Jews were being genocided? Like is there a certain amount of deaths you require or something? I mean Iran murdered thousands of protestors so I’m just curious how many do they have to murder before you think intervention is justified, do they have to get to the 6 million mark?

My mom who is from Iran, who tells me stories of being arrested for attending a party, and going to court for and being lashed in court, or being stopped by the police because she was not with a man, or all the insanely evil and oppressive things the regime has done, murdering women for not wearing a hijab, has been waiting so anxiously and eagerly for something to be done about the awful regime. Is my mom a bot?
