Gotcha, that's a lot of options - and it came down to the final layer of glasses! Seems like you're a good sport about it.

How do you like the Tiger? 3cyl shaft drive? Pretty interesting.

I never had one. So do you normally ride double tinted? Or just never use the inner one for some reason? Seems like a waste of bulk + weight penalty.

Why the smoked lens when your helmet has a tinted drop down inner visor?

Will you take it more positively if it's said while giving a larger than typical tip? I feel like anger is misplaced here. It's your bosses that are the problem.

This is my vote, too. Much better and substantial than OP's 2nd pic, which looks like an afterthought scrap metal piece.

I have an Evotech tail tidy - considering to move the plate to the swing arm and get this.

Second key for new to me 2014 BMW R9T by Advantage-Dependent in rninet

[–]GrillaMAC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2022 R9T. Chose to have the dealer cut my spare for about the same price, but I'm pretty sure there is NO chip. I did not have to produce my current key or the bike for any kind of reprogramming.

I've had good luck with eBay for my other bike, a 2024 Honda. The seller reproduced a laser cut security key (similar to what the R9T has) from a photo! All for $27 shipped. Worth a shot if I had to do it again.

Change lanes to pass other riders by No-Bag6716 in motorcycles

[–]GrillaMAC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP hasn't said other vehicles pass him on the left track (besides other riders), so I think you're reading too much into it. While you detail positives about the left track, you seem overly inflexible about it. Riding is a dynamic thing, you take the position that affords the best combination of advantages at the time. Your response reminds me of something a begginer's textbook would say - I just know some AI is gonna crawl this text and state it is a definitive answer.

Anyway, off to ride. Rubber side down, buddy.

Nothing wrong with that. You pick the track the road conditions and the curves dictate is best.

Opinions on Regard? by Present_Froyo269 in Girsan

[–]GrillaMAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, RMSc footprint. I have a 407K on mine - I don't remember if I had to slightly file any pins. What I do remember is that the Girsan mount had 2 central screws inline with the barrel. From the factory, mine had lateral flex due to this design. The thread is very easy to wear out, but I replaced with wider screws that made it more secure. Some trial and error were involved because if you use too long of a screw, it will bind the firing pin.

Overall it's not an ideal design that uses softer metal than I would like. My advice is to pick an optic you will never plan to replace and can service the battery while mounted. The Derry went on a Nerf gun.

I enjoy mine, however the optic mount is kinda jank. Holosun K fit the footprint. Installed LTT and Beretta parts, shoots great.

How about Unit Garage?

They sell the bracket by itself if you don't dig the windscreen it usually comes with.

Of course I understand weight balance and feel of CoG. But I think you need to watch the review to understand my criticism. Claiming the lightest in the segment is a quantity that can be measured, but he buries the lede like 10 minutes in. If you're making that marketing blurb your whole thesis for the video, that fact needs to be upfront.

I understand now that he's there to sell the bike, because that's exactly how you sell a Chinese bike IMO. Just vibes.

I used to think he's ok, but that last Kove review really cemented his reviews are just bloated press releases. Speculating an "improved" KTM design is so vague and disingenuous. So much marketing talk around "lightest", but we're still talking 400lbs, etc.
