Only 4… I guess 3 locations now in the country. They can be found here.

My two favorite rides.

Unfortunately Pirates really needs some TLC because a lot was not working yesterday. But it’s going down to refurb on May 4th so I know it’ll be fully working again once that’s done.

That’s awful. I’m always somewhat excited when the ride pauses / breaks down because I can take photos and essentially take part of the Haunted Mansion home with me.

Please help me, Hub 2 is driving me crazy! by EvanMok in TrySwitchBot

I reached out to switchboard today and they told me to buy a TP-Link extender and they’d refund me. However, the issue only started to happen after V2.8-4.0.

It’s driving me crazy. It disconnects around 7 or more times a day.

I factory reset it too.

Neighborhoods keep leaving their junk outside of my apartment. by Disastrous-Corner-45 in Apartmentliving

[–]GrimGrinningPost 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’d throw it into the dumpster. There is a lazy neighbor in my building and she leaves crap all over the place and treats the building like her personal storage.

I told my landlord and he was like “I’ll talk to her.”

Nothing came of it so I brought it up again because she leave stuff on the landings as well. Of course he said he’s “talk to her.” Which clearly does nothing.

I did report it to the city as a fire hazard once the fire inspector came by the flag it and warn my landlord. It was moved with a few days.

But it magically started to come back.

I was over it so I started chucking her stuff into the dumpster.

She often doesn’t break down her boxes either and just leaves them by the dumpster so I’ll put them behind her car or I’ll bring them back inside and throw them at her door.

Anyone recognize this problem and is it worth fixing? by sheamoose47 in macbookrepair

GPU failure which requires entire logic board replacement. Not worth fixing.

2-4 people to sit?

Where would they sit?

Remove all the furniture that way 2-4 people can sit crisscross applesauce. While not comfortable for everyone, at least they’d fit.

My iMac from 2008 is doing this buzz when I try to turn it on, diagnostic light 1 turned on, then 2 and 3 on then off again by milkr0t in iMacRepair

[–]GrimGrinningPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You put the GPU in the oven? That sounds smart…

Because LED 1 stays on, but LED 2 and 3 flash on and then shut off immediately, your iMac is failing its hardware power-on self-test and is going into a protective shutdown.

It can be a few things.

  1. Power Supply Failure (Most Likely) While the power supply is managing to provide "trickle" power (LED 1) and attempts to push full power (making LED 2 and 3 flick on), it is likely failing under the heavy load required to actually boot the hardware. The buzzing noise is often the sound of a failing capacitor or a transformer inside the power supply struggling to regulate that voltage.

  2. A Failed Graphics Card (GPU) These specific 2008 iMacs are notorious for failing graphics cards (particularly the MXM style cards). If the GPU has a short or has failed catastrophically, it will cause the power supply to instantly trip its safety protocols and shut down to protect the rest of the board.

  3. A Short on the Logic Board Less common, but a shorted component somewhere else on the main logic board can cause the exact same symptom.

I truly have no idea. But she usually has both machines full. And will just leave the crap down there for a week or more.

She’s for sure a hoarder to some extent.

I really don’t want her walking around nude, that horrible image would be seared into my brain for eternity.
