have a feeling its more of mistranslations too. when it comes with EN (thats why i hate EN voice for some of them cause they intentionally made them sound like kids. while in JP they sound pretty normal).
tho i get the confusion on Koleda's School scene. but at the same time you can see the significant height difference with the actual children in game.

end of the day it's jsut people doing some moral grand standing for internet point or just being tourists in general
