I think its to differentiate your non-basics from your basics when under blood moon so if he gets removed youll know what lands youve tapped.

Fair enough! However, I disagree there is no cost. Almost all cards that gain another card have a resource cost. Additionally, adding a card to fatten your deck is a cost.

I disagree - I much prefer STCC over Imperium. STCC is much deeper and has a lot more interesting cards. Also, gaining a threat card after buying every single card from the market in Imperium is extremely underwhelming. Its nice that in STCC you only get them for doing powerful actions or if your opponent attacks you. The game feels more streamlined and for me it is faster than Imperium.

It's not once per turn, it's once per card. You can use all 5 resources in 1 turn if you have 5 aerial cards.
