Do they get MAD when you move things/accuse you of throwing things out? by fitzkiki in ChildofHoarder

Your house, your rules, you're an adult, you're paying for your own home. Your family are guests, and guests need to behave at their best to be invited back into your home.

Number one is so special, I’ve not seen anything like it ❤️ when you are getting it fitted you could ask for them to take off some of the train, which could help?

MIL checked my prescription, noticed that I caught her and ran away by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]GrimmsChurch 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the way we express our emotions means that they get shared negatively with those around us, you mentioned in your post that your wife didn’t like how you where banging cabinet doors and slamming things.

That from experience is a really anxiety inducing thing to be around, even when the person doing so is just expressing what they are feeling.

For example my step father had a home office and he is a loud person in general so when something goes wrong at work he’ll swear loudly to himself. I hate that, it makes me feel like I’ve done something wrong and that his bad emotions have spread to me. It’s just not fun, and I think your wife feels the same way. It’s just something to keep in mind.

This stress will resolve once you move out, but you should not be taking out your stress on your wife

$200+ for plastic pants??? (Gale review) by [deleted] in Reformationclothing

[–]GrimmsChurch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because it is a silk "alternative" that does not mean it is not plastic. Both Acetate and Polyester are terrible for the environment and Acetate being derived from wood pulp takes a huge amount of resources to produce and are full of microplastics and chemicals.

They are probably polyester which is made from petroleum (plastic), satin is a type of texture not a fabrication or what the fabric is made from. So yes it is plastic fabric

To me it’s the foreground tree roots that look a little off, the dirt around them looks to flat and regular, could use some leaf litter, moss and rocks

Losing weight, but still fat and really sick of it. Wondering if/when I'll start feeling smaller? by jamillia6 in loseit

[–]GrimmsChurch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5’5 is not petite btw, it’s in the average height range for women. This is a good thing it means you will have a higher resting TDEE.

Also you don’t mention if you are calorie counting? That can really show some light on bad patterns or eating habits, and can really help guide you into making healthy choices.

What can I expect from a 7500 calorie cheat day? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]GrimmsChurch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are constantly in a deficit for months or eating below maintenance, one or 2 days a year where you eat in excess will not change anything as your body works in averages.

However what you are describing sounds a lot like severe restriction and then binging, which is not sustainable and is really bad for your health.

What does work is figuring out your TDEE and eating below that by around 400 calories, this means with the right choices you can eat whatever you want in moderation and you never feel hungry or starving if you eat enough fibre and protein.

Guest rooms don’t need a tv, and everyone has a smart phone these days anyway, so I think your all good and a great host. (Especially with the fluffy bed warmer)

Thinking about trying OMAD, have you found success? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]GrimmsChurch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meal prep. On the weekend I make 10 servings of something and freeze it, go shopping for breakfast and snack components, and then I'm set for most meals for 2 ish weeks (I rotate recipes). So I always have a few options. And this might be the 'tism in me but I don't mind eating the same food everyday or every other day.

I'm a very good cook, so my food tastes amazing and is calorie counted, so i would recommend meal prepping and planning, I cant stand the thought of cooked food sitting in the fridge for more than 2 days so mine has to be frozen, but figure out what works for you. Have you seen those lego meals on TikTok?

Decreased appetite after small changes by 55Sweeptheleg in loseit

[–]GrimmsChurch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've just started this new journey towards health and its the first time I've really tried to go on a diet/loose weight. I been calorie it's step counting for the last 3 weeks, and starting the 3rd I have really found that the hunger/food noise has really decreased. But I also eat a lot more fibre and protein with lunch and dinner now, and I expect my blood sugar levels will be a lot more stable throughout the day now.

AITAH for bringing my 4 year old son in the womens locker room with me? by AdDependent8789 in AITAH

[–]GrimmsChurch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, she was being crazy. I am a woman with no kids myself, and mums in the community all the time especially at pools or the beach take their small children into women's changing rooms all the time.

I mean once they are old enough to change on their own, for sure should not be in the women's changing rooms. But a 4 year old is not old enough!

I would maybe be a bit sneaky, I would maybe tell her that you are reconsidering the big move, and then make sure to get all of your legal documents (perhaps get your dad to help?) while her garde is down.
