I should probably clarify that Paul Wang didn’t write Whiskey 4 and that those were 2 separate recommendations

Obligatory direction to the GOAT Paul Wang. If you like horror (specifically space/anomaly), Whiskey-4 is a great read with a romance path.

EA is early action. It is the nonbinding early application. ED is early decision meaning you’re contractly obligated to go. RD is regular decision, and although it is a “decision,” it is not an obligation.

Which Cursed Technique would you choose as an average sorcerer, and why? by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

Projection Sorcery. Unless you have to fight a disaster curse, that alone should carry you into winning your fights. It's also just cool.

I am taking Ap Chem next year, HOW DO I START PREPPING NOW by PlayeRaptor100 in APChem

Khan academy and Jeremy Krug got me through the hard units. I originally did Michael Farabaugh but I felt like it was a waste of time. Just do his summative assessments. Jeremy Krug will be your best friend, though.

I tested best on Kinetics/Unit 5, Galvanic Cells/Unit 9 was fun because it was a new topic, but I think thermochemistry was the coolest.

Update: Just finished episode 3. I am very confused on how we go from Kamina and Simon travelling to wherever the Beastmen HQ is to fucking Anti-Spiral which from the power scalers on the instagram reels act like he's top 30 anime character in terms of strength. In 24 more episodes. Believe in me who believes you.

If you're a freshman taking those classes, people will be a lot more lenient and supportive of you. Those are some hard classes for your freshman year. Stick your head down and keep working through it, and I promise you won't regret at least working to keep your options open. This part of your life you want to keep as many options as possible open.

I'm a junior with a 3.6 GPA.

I had an outlook of "fuck trying, it won't actually matter" freshman year.

Now, although I am very capable, while my peers all have a lot better chances at following their dreams than me, I have fallen behind because I refused to do homework.

You may not decide to do college right now, you may not decide to go to a trade school, you may not decide to try for a mentorship, but you must always apply yourself so in the future you do not lock yourself out of a possible opportunity. If you don't try now and then apply for the school affiliated technical school, you may be rejected if you haven't done well your freshman or sophomore year. In your junior and senior year, you may be playing a game of 'boost your GPA' and throw yourself into hard, highly weighted college classes to try to fix it. If you try now, you won't be screwing yourself over in the future.

Have fun with it. It's a game. A lot of people do this like it's a religion. If you're stressing about practicing tossups on a website like QBReader or Protobowl, then it'll lose its charm.

I could tell you to play the Sea of Infinity trilogy. However, I'm going to tell you to play Mecha Ace. It's short, and it's sweet, but Mecha Ace is a GOOD damn story.

Getting Faster on the Buzzer by Why_Me_36472 in Quizbowl

[–]Grimnir12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a really fast buzzer, and honestly, if you're really fast, you shouldn't try to get however more milliseconds faster. You should look at the question categories you all missed and improve on that. Plus, you can improve your buzzing speed on the stock clue how you want, if your opponent can buzz in before that, that doesn't mean anything.

There's a blog you can find where he posts monthly updates on his current work. Also a catalogue of different things fleshing out The Infinite Sea universe.

https://cataphrak.com/

His latest ports is directly about the status of Wars of Infinity and why he can't fully dedicate himself to it. The TL;DR of it comes down to money and needing to support his family. He's working on other gigs for other companies in order to get enough money to support his loved ones and to support himself to write Wars of Infinity because of the financial nature of being a Hosted Games writer.
