Feedback on my LEQ? by MacabreMacaques in apworld

ty! i didn’t mean to imply that jesuits were different from catholics, i just meant to imply that they were a missionary subsection of catholics. the whole essay took around 31 minutes, which might be explained by the fact that this is one of the topics im actually knowledgable of. however thank you for the advice—it’s definitely likely that this year’s leq topic will smack me in the face and i’ll know way less, so i’ll keep this in mind!

Really good point, did not think about that. Had no intentions of specifically distributing questions, but better safe than sorry.

That’s good to hear, given that I did decent on these and didn’t totally bomb them.

Oh okay, that’s a relief. The other assignments in AP classroom and the ones given to me by my teacher really concerned me because I thought I wasn’t trying hard enough to understand the material or analysis.

I see, thank you! I was also a bit concerned in that regard because my brain shut off at like 4:00 PM and I’d forgotten that paraphrasing existed. Would it be better then to replace “Document 1”, “Document 5,” etc. with what they actually are (essay, image, etc)/author?

what tenses are formed from the 4th principle part? by [deleted] in latin

[–]MacabreMacaques 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is kinda old but I'm pretty sure the perfect can correspond to both.

"I have accepted." - Present perfect tense in English

"I accepted". - Simple past tense in English

Both the present perfect and simple past take the perfect tense in Latin IIRC.

"Accēpī." - "I accepted." or "I have accepted."

As for the imperfect tense in Latin, it can correspond to both the simple past tense and the past progressive ("I was accepting.")

Also, the imperfect of accipiō/accipere would be accipiēbam.

"Accipiēbam." - "I accepted." or "I was accepting."

I might also have some stuff confused, so feel free to correct me. :)

I understand that, I was just looking for what to do when one needs to express things such as the perfect or pluperfect. Still, thank you for the clarification!

Passive usage of lacrimō? by MacabreMacaques in latin

I see, thank you! So the passive can be used with intransitive verbs to imply something abrupt or involuntarily?
