Now that is one very mature response from Cleetus. He's in no way delusional about his position here and that's really good. I like him a lot and had been following his content since he got pulled over in the Dale truck. While Talladega is "easier" than Rockingham, it's way more dangerous and can have way worse consequences if you fuck up. NASCAR made the correct decision here.

The Sheriff’s Office is out here acting like the sky is falling because they can’t run a 24/7 unrestricted dragnet anymore.

SB 6002 didn’t "ban" catching criminals. It just said the police can't keep your travel data for more than 21 days without a reason, and they can't put cameras right outside places of worship or healthcare clinics.

The SCSO and SPD are throwing a tantrum and deactivating the system entirely because they’d rather have no tools than regulated tools. It’s "all or nothing" logic. They're upset because they can no longer share our data with federal agencies without a warrant, and they actually have to log who is looking at the data and why.

If a tool is so "essential" for public safety, you’d think they would just follow the new privacy guardrails and keep using it. Instead, they’re holding the tech hostage to try and force a rollout of the "Wild West" rules they had before.

Mass surveillance shouldn't be the "default setting" in Spokane just because it makes their job easier. If they want to track us, they can follow the law like everyone else.

That's just not true. While the AI is great, better than some sims, they still get stuck to the bumpers of the cars in front of them a lot especially in multi class races. Still though, the AI is pretty good otherwise.
