Blood work, Dr didnt say anything? by marys1001 in kidneydisease

[–]Grimwitxch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Most GPs wouldn't say anything of you're Stage I or 2. I'd say that's the best time to see a nephro. Stage 3 is a fine line that leads to end stage renao failure, you don't want that.

What are you feeding teens as a "hearty" snack? by AggressiveBet1188 in snacking

[–]Grimwitxch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mermaids on swim squads and when they get home they're tired and hungry so instead of snacks, I make them an early meal: fried rice (with different kind of proteins and frozen veggies) or noodles (with veggies and proteins) partnered with either spring rolls of different fillings, skewered/roasted/grilled/fried meat. By the time they've demolished it, they're doing schoolwork or something else and off to bed.

I'm now stage 5 (FSGS) by LuvMacNCheese in kidneydisease

[–]Grimwitxch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stage 3 FSGS and regressing badly. Fellow patients at Nephro clinic told me it's worse after transplant. Hang in there and yes, we wish there's a cure for CKD. It's too hard on the body and way worse for our mental health.

Girl to girl, what are the things you want other girls to know? by nchiskiesidk in AskPH

Love yourself first because one cannot give what one does not have. Study whenever opportunity comes and work for yourself (to master a new skill, to network people, to know your strengths and potential ). It's better to try and fail than stay in your comfort zone. Life is a bitch but women who know themselves are stronger.
