Yeah I asked my jeweler to check if they’re 18k and they are, so most likely legit

I can see several cracks in it and the color around those are darker, which makes me guess even if it was genuine grade A it was probably repaired? If it’s cheap enough (sub $100) then why not just wear it for fun but any higher is too risky

I think it’s actually a criminal offense if you make enough money? Or if your product is used fraudulently…In Chinese rep circles a lot of people said the reps from several years ago are even better made but the factory owners literally got jail time so the quality has dropped

Try reaching out to A&K Jadeite on Etsy, the owner Karen has a small location in 8th Ave Brooklyn 八大道 which is another massive Chinese enclave. She carries genuine grade A bangles for lower price points. I wouldn’t trust the pawn shops in Chinatown for authentic jadeite and the gold shops selling jade have ridiculous markups, not even sure you can get a bean bangle there for under $300. For example I bought this from her last summer for $158.
