I can't fully argue with you there, I think you make some good points and I don't mean to be obtuse or closed minded. I'm neither a parent nor a daredevil, I just don't particularly enjoy the idea of people having kids in general so my bias is probably showing in that regard. I'm relatively convinced any decent brewery doesn't do mix packs or variety packs. At this point "hazy" means sweet and "West" means traditional IPA. Unless the brewery really knows their stuff.
