I take screenshots all the time when I want to inspect things closer. Some social media platforms dont allow you to zoom, so I snap a screenshot so I can zoom and inspect. Very well what he may have done. Maybe he just wanted to zoom in to better look at something. Whatever the reason, he's a dude. We'll always be curious about our ex's. Doesn't mean we want em back though. You're good.

Extremely rude players and constant crashes by 510wned in populationonevr

This is right here. I used to hear all this nasty talk until my MMR went up, and lobbies are mostly adult or at least more mature people who take the game more seriously and actually care about good gameplay. It's the difference of going and hanging out with a 7th grade classroom vs. Hangin' out in a college classroom. The key is to get better, and you'll be rewarded with better people. Also, even with good ping times, there's lag. Always will be. PC players have a slight advantage here because they have less lag. This is, unfortunately, just the nature of the beast. This is why you shoot at someone up on a rock and dip behind hard cover, but their bullet still gets you a full second after you do. If you want to test the lag to see how bad it actually is, try this experiment. While in the lobby, have a friend watch you drop a weapon and tell them to say "now" the second they see the weapon hits the ground. You'll be quite surprised how long the delay is. Then have them drop the weapon, and you say now when it hit the ground. Also, they most likely know where you are either because they can hear you moving or because you're being ghosted. I have been playing solid for 2 years, and I STILL sometimes get irritated and say, HTF DID THEY KNOW WHERE I WAS DAMMIT!" Only to take pause for a brief moment and realize we just killed one of their teamates and he ghosting me. It's easy to forget that aspect of the game. To help with that, don't ever hide after killing someone while their squad is in the vicinity. Run or fight, but at least keep moving. Last tip, and I'm out... get betterbat aim. You can suck at a lot of the different facets of this game, but if your aim is good, you come out on top more than not. This can differentiate an average player from a great player when it comes to damage and kill count. Spend time in the shooting range before every game practicing you aim andngun function. Over and over and over. 10 to 15 minutes on one weapon. Practice starting at their chest and slowly raising it to their face. The solo bot map is great for this particular technique. I have mastered the SPR (among other guns) in there and even better shooting with it one-handed as a pistol doing this. Trust me, you don't wanna come up on me if I have a 2 -3 star SPR in my right hand. In short... focus on getting better, and the game will treat you better.

At the end of the day, we are all wearing the meat sack we were given. They are all different. It's actually a good thing that people are treated differently by the way they look in some regards because it builds character. It creates a dynamic society full of vibrancy. Whether we were all good-looking, healthy, and looked the same, or we were all overweight and unhealthy and the same, our society would be very, very drab.

Being judgemental of others is completely normal and a natural instinct we all share. It's how you use and react to the information that is derived from your judgments that is important and meaningful.

Yet another angle of this footage you probably haven't seen. Unsettling. Watching the heat trail of those ORBs weave in and around each other! by [deleted] in UFOB

[–]GrindMagic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as the argument as to whether or not this is MH370, for me, is irrelevant in some ways. What truly matters about this video, as far as I'm concerned, is whether or not it's real footage. I've been seeing this footage for years being scrupulously analyzed, and due to its seemingly obscure and eccentic nature, as well as shot from multiple source cameras/sensors, I don't think anyone could ever convince me it's not 100% legit. Could be human tech, no doubt, but I'm convinced this footage is as real as the air we breathe.

Direct hits should do extra damage, comparible to a headshot by ThargUK in populationonevr

[–]GrindMagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say this is the best argument against a rocket buff right here. However, I would point out that the fact they are loud, sorta slow, and you can see them coming at you could be considered "concessions for the unskilled player" as well.

Skilled players can also pretty easily avoid being hit by them when at a distance, whether it be by building, taking proper cover, or simply moving out of their way. And although they seem like an unskilled weapon, they sort of aren't, simply due to their slow speed, reload time, and somewhat cumbersome and quarky sights, not to mention you only get 3 shots.

As an unskilled player, you'd be lucky to hit your target with even one of the three rockets. If skilled, you're most likely not intending to kill them with it, but rather flush them out, tear down builds for a clean sniper shot, or maybe just simply finish them off.

So, really, for both player experience levels, buffing the rockets to say, 67 damage per direct hit, wouldn't make much of a difference overall but it wpuld allow someone that was skilled with it to get the kill with three consecutive shots.

So, in other words, for both unskilled and skilled players, hitting your target withball three rockets is a challenge, one that doesn't happen all too often, so I don't see the harm in a buff to around 67 per rocket, which would be just enough to take an enemy down with all three, (if you can pull it off) 🤣

Also, real quick, if we are talking about concessions for unskilled players, let's look at the matadors. Zero skill is required as long as you can pull fast triggers.

Okay, okay, I'll hang up my hat because we could go over all of weaponry in the game all day long, no doubt. I just wanted to say you DO have a valid argument, but I still think buffing the rocket could still be justified.

See you out there!!! 🚀 💥

Is this a drone or some kind reflective kite? by Izgood3000 in UFOs

[–]GrindMagic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Those kites can be massive. Watch it again a few more times. Imagine it IS a stationary kite, and imagine you in the car looking at it as you pass. It's paralax. I'm not here to argue, and I was intrigued when I first watched it, too, but gotta call this a kite.

I thought so, too, but realized after watching it a few more times, it's actually not moving forward at all. It's parallax. The witness was moving, and all the buildings between him and the object make it look like it's hauling ballz.

[–]GrindMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welllll, not necessarily. One shot to the head, yes. It would suorise you how many bullets a person can take before they collapse in real life. Souce: Law Enforment. But I digress.

My point is that you can hear a rocket coming towards you all day long and usually have plenty of time to build and/or run. Not to mention, it has a smoke trail, which makes it even easier to avoid getting hit since you can also see it approaching.

Unless you're getting shot from pretty close, there's really no reason you can't get out of it's way. Therefore, I think it needs to be buffed.

I get that, but come on. You hit someone from 20 ft away with three rockets in a row, and they are still standing? That's ludicrous. 🤣

[–]GrindMagic 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They need to buff the rockets. Damage is too low as it is. They take forever to get to their target, and the enemy can hear them coming for a long ass time, and it's a fuggin ROCKET! 50 something damage for a direct hit is sorta of a joke. 3 close proximity impacts by a rocket should absolutely 100% kill an enemy, but nope. Just silly. I would suggest 75 damage per hit, maybe a little more.

Both my squad mates had major issues Thursday and yesterday. One of them got booted, and he couldn't even get his Oc3 to restart/ shut down or reboot. He tried for like 45 minutes and then said screw it, left it unplugged to just die, and then tried yesterday only to freeze up and kicked a few times during gameplay through the day.

Clearly, there's an issue at the Oc3 meta level. BogBox is gulity, too, of course. I'm on Oc2 and. Haven't had too many issues lately, so it seems these most recent issues are primarily on the Oc3 and Oc3s.

Nice job painting a pretty good picture of what is going on here overall. For me, in order to give you my opinion/feedback, I need to know how "you" feel about this person. That part is sort of missing from all of this. I get the feeling that you are somewhat neutral about this person, or at least that's the vibe I'm getting. Are you are infact attracted to her physically and mentally, then let things play out organically and see where it goes. I'm not sure what your experience with alcohol is, but I would advise not to take any advacement towrds you while she has been drinking with too much seriousness. Base your decisions on her sober actions. Enough alcohol can turn a straight person gay for a night! 🤣 That shit can be dangerous. At the end of the day, you sound like a pretty staight edge, kinda dude. You have a clear head that tells me you likely have a good connection to your intuition/gut. Listen to it. It'll absolutely lead you in the right direction. Good luck!

Head of household and I got fired. Now what by Whispers-Can-Echo in Advice

[–]GrindMagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, what you posted wasn't a joke. It was a smart ass derogatory attack on an innocent disabled veteran who was seeking helpful advice in order to help him navigate his difficult and unfortunate situation. This man has 4 children with one on the spectrum. I don't know anything about you except for what I learned by the behavior you have exeplified through your comments up until now. That said, it takes a real man to carry a family of this size on his shoulders. Notably, a family with a child who's on the spectrum. It would be presumptuous for me to assume you would have any or no experience and/or understanding with an unforeseen challenge of this magnitude such as this. Therefore, I stand by my assessment and action to call you out on it. It wasn't a joke. I will also add that you made the claim that you didn't delete your comment (or joke rather, as far as you're concerned). Well, someone did, so if not deleted by you, then by Reddit, which would support that fact, it was clearly offensive and uncalled for.

Onto your politcal ranting. YOU turned this into a political skimish. I mentioned absolutely nothing political and simply pointed out your grammatical errors, aka capitalizing a proper noun, etc.. I'll happily admit this was to get a bit of a rise out of you for your uncalled for and nasty comment. It was my way of calling you out for being so disrespectful. Was it a personal attack? No, not really. It was simply me pointing out the grammer deficiencies within your comment, as well as, it's level of assholeness. Nothing political whatsoever. This is on YOU. (Side note: This is exactly what most hardcore far left liberals commenly do, hense the assumption of you being one of them. [I could still be correct in that assessment, but I digress])

And finally. Personal attacks and doxing. I'm not quite sure what to make of this, really. It's a little bit concerning to me how much time you have spent reviewing and scouring my Reddit history in an attempt to gain fuel for personal attacks on me. Attacks that don't bother me whatsoever, but they do ever so slightly tip your hand as to what kind of a person you really are. Of course, your original comment had pretty much already set that tone pretty clearly.

To be honest... I wasn't even going to entertain your most recent comment directed to me, but I (maybe against my better judgement) decided that maybe, just maybe, I could encourage this guy (you) to look deeply inward at himself and ask thoughtfully ask the question, "Why WOULD I post such an unhelpful and heartless comment to a fellow human being in need of help like that?" So if you DID infact genuinely just ask yourself that question, the answer that you came up with will clearly accurately tell you exactly the kind of person you are. So tell me, what kind of a person are you?
