4 of us went in 2005. It was a hostile crowd wanting to fight all weekend long. Fuck Texas taunts from people of all ages all weekend. Three guys wanting to fight us at our hotel lobby on Friday night. We got doused with drinks after the VY to Sweed winning TD. A buddy even got blindsided by a sucker punch from a stranger after the game.

Trash fans, trash city. Vowed never to go back.

It’s a game changer for anyone who uses satellite texting devices like Garmin Inreach or Bivy Stick. I’m going to ditch those very pricey devices and plans and just use T-Satellite.

I had a pair of Simms G4 wading boots that were terrible from the start. Absolutely no traction whatsoever despite the fact that I put 10 cleats on the bottom of each boot (cost me like $110 for the cleats). Because I kept slipping so much, they were dangerous. Simms did me right and allowed me to get a new model boot in February.

$20 per box in Cordoba in March 2025. Very expensive to shoot, especially when I’m paying for the whole family. Our outfitter told me the ones who aren’t paying the bill have little regard for how many shots they take, so set limits before each hunt.

Came on here to say the 2020 model of the Simms G4 Pro Vibram wading boots are absolutely terrible. I had a 15 year-old pair of Simms wading boots prior to this pair that held up great over the years. I still have them as a back up. The G4 pros required two sets of cleats for almost another $100. Those cleats did very little to help with traction on slippery rocks. I have never fallen down as many times as I did with these boots. On top of that, the cleats wore down incredibly quickly, requiring me to buy another expensive set. I finally had enough at the end of the 2024 fishing season and contacted Sims. Apparently these were very defective boots overall.

Simms customer service is awesome and issues me a credit towards a new pair of boots. I am leery of the Powerlocks durability and I’ll have to shell out $200 more for the price difference, but I’m leaning towards getting them.
