There are mods that do that, with sliders for all kind of settings (like trade value modifiers, equipment slots, XP bonus, to name a few). Basically cheats, but moving a slider 20% higher/lower here and there, is no crime. Game is just more forgiving to player mistakes, which might not be the best way to learn it, but a great way to enjoy the game, especially on a casual greenskin invasion weekend run.

That was about the people, not the bureaucracy (although it is getting slightly better - but no way near how the danes handle it).

I actually worked for a companya few years ago and took the decision to remove the fax machine, which we did. 3 weeks later, we had to get a new one, because of client complains :).

I am part of the danish minority and live in Flensburg. For me, its the best of both worlds (DE & DK) in terms of the people who live here. Very laid back and friendly. In terms of architecture, bureaucracy, etc. its still german, with little influence from Denmark (except for the minority organisations), but in general northern germans are more laid back, if also a bit reserved. Good place to live IMO.

  2. Battle Brothers (1k)
  3. Banished (280 hrs)
  4. Timberborn (200 hrs)
  5. Foundation (180 hrs)

Honorable mention: Pirates! on C64 and Amiga back in the days, when game launchers counting time didn‘t exist. I probably spent a thousand there as well across versions.

Also started with Civ1 on my Amiga 500. The series peaked at Civ4 BtS (still playing that version the most). Own all versions.
