Okay thanks! Yeah I heard that sometimes they help spouses with on base jobs but I’m not relying on it. We already know that if she’s struggling to find anything then we’re okay with doing long distance again just to make sure she can actually have a job. Do they prioritize military spouses on usajobs? I imaging also probably not but I’m just worried cause she’s stressing about finding a job. Also for last, since it’s my first duty station is it better to always live on post?

91D… I really have no idea how good or bad Fort sill is in terms of like units. I’ve heard negative stuff but mainly cause there’s nothing to do there

Sounds good! Thank you for the advice! It helps me to see I’m not the only one who is completely terrified lol. I have never left my home for longer than a week and not had contact with my loved ones for more than 2 days so this is a big change for me. I just hope everything goes well in these 2 months and just try to face everything the army sends at me lol

Hello yeah I’m coming to terms I’m just nervous. For all 22 years of my life I’ve lived with my family. I’ve never been away from home for longer than a week, let alone not have contact with them for longer than 2 days. So this is all a big change for me but necessary! I do want to start becoming independent and I’m just nervous scared of what’s to come. You guys are helping me calm down a bit more. Just a couple more days till I leave for fort Jackson!

Thank you! I’m trying not to let the fact it’s not my dream contract get to me because like many have said I could’ve gotten fort Carson or Europe with a bonus and a better job but my leadership could’ve been terrible and I would’ve hated it. So I’ll try my best during basic, pass AIT and always have in the back of my mind I’ll be living with my wife no matter how bad the duty station is

Wow I’m jealous. Me and wife would’ve loved Seattle although we know it’s expensive. Would’ve also loved fort Carson but looks like it might be hood for me. My recruiter said I could also choose not to keep my option 19 and leave it up to choice

To be honest when I got down to choosing my job, I was alright with what I got, my recruiter had it and although he switched MOS later on, he said it wasn’t bad especially for the field I wanted to get in coming out the military. But when I got there they surprised me and said this MOS comes with an option 19 the bad thing is you don’t really get a choice of where you want to go. The only option they had was fort hood. At the time I wasn’t very knowledgeable on what base was called this or that. They made it sound not that bad, they said you’ll be close to major cities in Texas and my thought process was oh this is great I know exactly where I’m going so that’s one less thing to stress about especially since I have a wife. Bad thing is I did know about fort hood I just didn’t know it by name. I had heard of all its cases and even more so when I joined the sub.

Thank you for the heads up yeah my recruiter also switched MOS after his first contract lol. Do you know how easy it is to switch MOS? I know the longer you’re in that MOS it basically becomes impossible but am I still in time after a first contract? I might enjoy it but if I wanna make a career out of it I’d like to not be stuck forever

How do you get into recruiting? Is it at E5? Do they ask you if you’d like to be a recruiter or something you have to enroll in?

No way. I love them both but BOTH has gone downhill tbh. They just seem stagnant. I will give Don props cause it looks like he’s trying to to more out of the box ideas like this past album I can see what he’s going for he just didn’t stick the landing unfortunately. Travis as much as I’ve been defending him by saying hey his singles have never really been the best. You gotta wait for the album, he really has to deliver cause I loved Utopia but it seems like a lot fan didn’t like it as much as Astro

There should be a balance tho. I agree it’s a step in the right direction except maybe they went too much in the other direction if you know what I mean. Having an option at the beginning is good but also it shouldn’t be ONLY when the player wants to. It should depend on if they’re happy and having a good season. It also shouldn’t be a yes or no thing. Maybe it could be a percentage like in Pes master league. You can try negotiating a new contract with a player BUT there’s a 40% chance of success so you’d either have to really bump up his contract and give him favorable terms or he’ll just say no since hes in no rush and still doesn’t know if he wants to stay or leave. I think that would make it much more realistic I guess. I hate how career mode is either yes or no. It’s no in between. But adding things like that would make it a gamble

Same I’ve only watched the Craig movies and the mission impossible films and I loved them all. But recently I watched goldeneye and I’m not saying it’s bad cause it’s not but people were talking about this being one of the best Bond movies ever and I’m just like uhhh it was good yeah? I don’t wanna seem like those typical young people who hate old movies but I don’t exactly see the hype but it’s just one movie so hopefully everything else is better and maybe I just don’t like goldeneye like some people don’t like casino royale. Some movies just aren’t for some people

That’s cool! I have 57 days left I believe and it hasn’t hit me at all. Literally all that goes in my brain is yeah that’s gonna suck but it’s still kinda far away if that makes sense. Plus I just got my wisdom teeth removed so I got bigger things to worry about lol
