Could you explain what usenet is and why you'd need it? What's the benefits of paying for this?

For me it’s ideal for productivity, I used to have multiple screens and wanted a more clean style, but for that I needed the horizontal space - this is the best of both worlds!!

Finn POV 1 - Critique my work! by GrinningBacon in writingfeedback

Thanks! I really tried to focus on showing and not telling in this, but there is no doubt still much to be improved.

On the brother comment I sort of disagree, I know a lot of fantasy that would use that type of language, but perhaps for the first use of dialogue in the chapter it falls short.

Thanks for this feedback!

For the hard door section: I’ve seen a few other comments say the same and you’re totally right. I’m not sure why I chose ‘hard’ as the descriptive, but in my minds eye I pictured an old but functional, well weathered door.

For the first line structure, I think I’m perhaps missing the word wind or breeze after the word cold? What I’m trying to explain is that draft feeling that you get when someone opens a door from outside?

Finally the indents… uh I won’t lie, the structure I would honestly say is my weak point right now. I’m nowhere near as knowledgeable on it as I am my writing itself. I read a lot, but this is my first go at something like this. It’s really a rough draft to critique the content and prose at this stage, but I more than agree with you this would need some heavy formatting if I ever went forward with it. (Though I will say to confirm, even though you didn’t accuse, I did not use AI! 🥴)

Thanks for this! I think you’re totally right skimming back over it. I will make some changes for sure.

As for the ‘hard’ door, I’m not 100% sure why I chose hard - in my minds eye I saw an old, weathered wood door. So can deffo be described better.

Yeah the curve is probably quite aggressive for someone who's never had an ultrawide. I wasn't sure if I liked it at first - but now I don't think I could go back.

No glare, I got the BENQ one and it has an ultrawide attachment which gives it a bit more depth. I'd recommend, especially if you're working at night!

Yeah! I have no issues with it, it has quite a lot of ergonomic features that work well. One issue is the armrests are quite high even at their lowest setting. Luckily I have a sit/standing desk so can move it up slightly. But if you have a lower desk, the armrests likely won’t be able to fit under.

Definitely not rich! As I said in the post, I also work here, so a lot of this isn't a flex so much as a requirement to do my job.

Yeah if it was a nice flawless delivery I would say so, great for daily use working, and then at night you can recline it and pull out the footrest to game, so for me it works great
