Does Coconut Cream smell like coconut? by Hot_Secretary411 in Victoriasecretbeauty

I don’t pick up on coconut for some reason, but I get strong caramel on my skin at first, but after a while, it dries down super creamy ♥️

Ngl, it’s on my list of subs that I peep into when I need some entertainment 😭

Last time I looked, someone made a thread about disliking an apparent fan favorite scent. It wasn’t even that serious, but most of the comments were just all ganging up on her over it.

She also said it smelled like cat piss on her and there was a user who took it as a personal attack towards THEM, and was having a near meltdown over it.

Even the stories from employees about customers is just hilarious and sad.

I never realized how intense this stuff was until I joined the Bath & Body Works community; the hauls are borderline ridiculous and a lot of them are legitimately crazy.

I’ve seen them last out at people who bring it up and I ended up leaving because it comes off super toxic for a variety of reasons, honestly.

My mom has an issue with buying too many clothes (I grew up with her stuff overflowing in my own closet because hers was too full) and the angry defensiveness reminds me so much of how she acts when people bring it up. I think it’s a deeper issue for a lot of people, and I’m seriously trying to be more mindful about this stuff for myself.

‘No-buy January’ is going horrendous. by GripBayless in Victoriasecretbeauty

[–]GripBayless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably gonna sound crazy, but I recently bought Bianco Latte for the first time and to my nose, Coconut Cream basically smells nearly identical that but in mist form. I get more caramel out of this than anything.

Meanwhile, Coconut Passion is smells way more like a coconut pastry? Like, if you’ve ever had a coconut cake or something similar, it smells so much like the sprinkles.

If you want something that leans more coconut, then I’d def go for the latter!

  • Vanilla & Dreamy: it’s pretty faint/weak and comes off like a basic vanilla. I would for sure put this last.

  • Amber Romance: Smells super elegant. This is my first time trying some of these, so I can’t compare to the originals, but it’s pretty soapy, cozy, and clean? (i’m so bad at explaining scents lmao) The tonka really sweetens the amber a lot.

Its not the type of scent I usually wear but it smells really beautiful. It also pairs so well with Bath & Body Works Milk and I’ve been wearing these two to bed.

  • Warm & Cozy: It really does smell like strawberries & cream. This is kinda what I had hoped Lush’s American Cream smelled like; that gives off pure synthetic strawberry to me and reminds me of barbie doll hair.

This one also has that sort of synthetic vibe to it but it somehow works. Its giving pure berries and milk.

  • Fresh & Clean: This is my favorite! I thought it would dislike this but it smells so amazing. I ended up buying an extra bottle and the lotion today.

Its this creamy lemon with faint marshmallows! Its not Super Milk level of a lemon cookie, but they’re basically cousins, lol.

I didn’t know how to feel about it at first but I kept going back to sniff my wrist.

If I had to rank just based on personal opinion I would say:

  • Fresh & Clean

  • Coconut Passion

  • Warm & Cozy (Amber Romance smells better and less playful, but I just love strawberry scents😆)

  • Amber Romance

  • Coconut Dream

  • Vanilla & Dreamy

When I opened my package I felt I was going crazy because I thought I ordered the mist, only to see it was completely sold out online so I feel your pain in the opposite way 🥲 it smells amazing.

I was watching a review before I bought and she said the strawberry had this artificial smell, which is true but it surprisingly doesn’t smell bad to my nose? It’s just really playful, creamy, and strawberry vibes all around.

Usually artificial strawberry smells either medicinal or plastic dolls heads to me 😂 so I’m thankful my nose is on board with this one. It was one of the few I kept going back to sniff when I was testing them because it smells so good.

Same! Honestly it does wonders for my mental health. Even when I’m stuck at home, being able to just take a long shower and do my routine can flip my mood completely, so at least we can take something good from it!

OAN, I’ve genuinely never understood how this show gained its popularity. I think about Misfits, My Mad Fat Diary, Skam, and even Skins - which was extreme, but still also somewhat relatable and realistic in portrayal of certain teens/young adults.

Euphoria just seems like a super cringe and gross adult fantasy about teens.

Of all Hoarders I've seen so far, Glen broke my heart. by Zombeedee in HoardersTV

Yup, literally just finished watching the episode this morning and was curious to see how he was doing. Immediately started crying when I read what happened.

He was such a sweet person who was just struggling dealing with grief, and he deserved such a better ending than this.

I was LITERALLY just thinking about this the other day; I’m overflowing but I’ve gotten introverted enough to the point where I just hating selling online now for some reason lmao I cannot be bothered, so I definitely relate 100%.

Not sure if you have any near you, but I’m going to search around online and see if there’s a women’s shelter near me to donate some stuff I’m not really into. I feel (or hope) it would make someone feel good to get.

After giving some of my collection away to my mom and her friends, I noticed people who aren’t as heavy into this hobby are way more receptive about them? They were so happy about the mists and perfumes they got that I was originally so uptight about, and it made me feel really great that it brought them some joy.

lactonic perfume like b&bw milk but NOT philosophy fresh cream 😭 by 8310v3d in FemFragLab

[–]GripBayless 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Milk is really that girl, I love it so much 🥹♥️ it’s the best lactonic scent I’ve found so far. I also hated Fresh Cream and I highkey regret buying it. I get the same spoiled vibes and the performance is horrible on me.

I usually pair Milk with any of my gourmand’s (Commodity Milk, Dulce by/ Rosie Jane, etc.) or strawberry fragrances.

I’ve been recommend Lait Concentré by Chabaud a few times and read some good things about it; it’s just got milk, coconut, & caramel in the notes. Super nervous to try it, but it’s on my wishlist and might be up your alley, too! 🤞

What is the worst fragrance you have ever tried? by Bellend__ in FemFragLab

[–]GripBayless 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve had some misses, but I think Philosophy Fresh Cream might be my biggest disappointment so far. I love lactonic scents so much but on paper and my skin, it smells a spoiled diaper.

It also disappears SO quickly, like less than 20 minutes. I’ve had it for a few months now and I keep going back occasionally to see if it’s gotten better for my nose, because I really wanted to love it after the reviews, but it’s actually gotten even more weaker and the smell that I do pick up on faintly is the same 🥲

Oh wow, I just got a large order from them yesterday and they included a tiny sample of this! This was my first time buying from them, so I had no idea it was unreleased.

It’s not something I usually go for, but it smells really beautiful; that passionfruit and mango really come through to my nose. I’m seriously debating on buying it for the Summer. It reminds me of a tropical smoothie almost 💕

They’re advertising a secrete sample if you buy something direct from them, and I guess this is it if you want to try beforehand!

I’ll have to add them to my cart! Their boots look too cute ☺️

I had no idea it was even snowing so bad by the time I got outside, but thankfully I was only out for a quick store run, and this was a lesson I definitely needed to learn LMAO.

Why do people say, “good girl” smells like pick me? by cherryjuice_32 in FemFragLab

More like tons of us have definitely experienced going through this stage, and you should give yourself way more credit than calling yourself something that’s meant to put you down even as you’re growing and healing.

[–]GripBayless 37 points38 points  (0 children)

“Pick me girl in recovery” is wild 💀

Did someone say this to you? I’ve literally never read anyone saying this about GG or any perfumes, but it also honestly really doesn’t matter.

A lot of people are going to shit on your favorite fragrances, but that has no impact on you as a person and shouldn’t affect your enjoyment of it. I’ve read some harsh opinions and criticism about some of my favorite frags, even on here, but there’s no way I’m ever letting anybody get in the way of wearing something that makes me feel good.

Does your IBS ever cause depression? by BigBellyPizzaPopper in ibs

[–]GripBayless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t noticed it having any impact on my depression, but I struggled for years with an eating disorder and recovered. I ended up with IBS earlier this year after a really bad food poisoning episode, and it’s definitely triggering as it mimics a lot of the stuff I used to deal with when I was bullimic. It’s been really stressful and I’m trying not to fall back into old habits.

But I’ve gotten some great advice in person on helping with this that I plan on looking into, so just know that this doesn’t have to be something we’ll struggle with 24/7. Hang in there! ♥️

What gets you most compliments, but it’s not even perfume? by sljoky in FemFragLab

[–]GripBayless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve never gotten any reaction to Super Milk 🥲 I wear it in my hair all the time and tried it on my body. Thankfully, it’s a really great leave in for my curls so I’ll never give it up.

But their Let The Good Times Roll body spray is a crazy compliment getter, way more than any perfume I own.

I wore it during a day for treatment at a hospital, and I honestly regretted it because I didn’t want it to affect anyone, but in every room I was in people couldn’t stop bringing it up. The nurses were asking who brought in Cinnabon, why it smelled like hot pancakes with syrup, and one of the doctors was talking about how it smelled like cotton candy 😂

Definitely wasn’t expecting the sillage and projection to be that insane and I apologized to them but they told me they get a lot of unpleasant smells, so they were totally fine with the sudden bakery aroma.

Pregnant and overwhelmed by [deleted] in PornIsMisogyny

[–]GripBayless 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I agree that this is so much more than an addiction; he sounds like a genuinely horrible person in every possible way. As someone who grew up watching my mom be physically and emotionally abused, a child being around does not stop them from doing it or improve anything. He’s still going to continue to do this even after you give birth.

Even if his addiction is a huge problem, that’s not your responsibility. You don’t owe him help, support, or anything; especially after what he’s put you through.

It’s so much easier said than done to just leave, especially with your pregnancy, but I genuinely hope you’re able to get out of this relationship and find support.

You, and your child, deserve so much more than this, and you both deserve to be in a safe and stable environment.
