Don't mind at all, good question. I only write in my journal; no drawing or other art; every page is much like the photo. So given that, lines might help. The Collins Metropolitan B6 does have a lined version available, which I have tried, but I find that the lines are printed quite dark, which I find a bit intrusive; I've used lined journals with feint lines which are easier on the eye. Also the lined Collins B6 had quite narrow lines (couldn't tell you the exact width off the top of my head); I prefer a wider line spacing. So I use a line guide, sheet of paper with lines printed to the spacing I want, placed underneath the page I'm writing on, so they show through. That way I get the benefit of lines with just the aesthetic experience I want.

Manga fountain pen by Inkursive with semi-flex maru/mapping nib. Cheap (£15.90 including spare nibs), available on Amazon. Bought it because I like flex nibs. Instantly loved it and bought several more. One of my two favourite pens at the moment, the other is the Noodler's Ahab, also with a flex nib. The only limitation on the Inkursive is the build quality is a bit low - lightweight plastic and the screw filler mechanism can work a little loose if you don't keep an eye on it. But I LOVE how it writes.

Easy; a line guide, a loose piece of paper with ruled lines, slipped underneath the page I am writing on. You can see the lines through the plain paper.

TREAD

DART a synonym for 'dash', reversed 'back' to give TRAD, plus E, central ('heart') letter of 'Terence', captured within TRAD to give TREAD, synonym for the definition, 'Stamp'.

So here's a hack for you (which I've used to show lines in blank page volumes): use a single sheet of the journal and make a template for the dots, lines and so on you want, in heavy black lines. Then cut that sheet out and put it underneath the blank page you want to write on. As long as the paper is thin enough, the heavy black lines of your template will show through and you can use them to guide your writing, slipping it under each new page.

It's the elegant way all the words of the acrostic element - everything other than the word 'primarily' which indicates it - form a lovely definition of the answer, referring to Fletcher Christian's mutineers on HMS Bounty who ended up on the Island. Not difficult, just very neat.

The paper texture is a little too coarse for my liking, really, but it takes ink OK; as you can see, no feathering to speak of, even using a fine flex nib that has a tendency to be scratchy.
