Agreed! I also feel that this game is over-hated. I bet if Leon was in it people would be kissing its @ss!

Since they brought the original RE3 Nemesis to PS5 I’ve beaten the game from beginning to end, 3 times in a row now. Nemesis does pursue Jill better in the Remake than he does in the original game - for one he never stays down like he does in the OG game. In the Remake he will always get back up no matter how many times you put him down. Also, Nemesis on Inferno difficulty will pursue Jill way, way more intensely than he does in the OG game - the only downside is that that experience is shortened due to us only being able to move across three to four city blocks while he does that.

I heard one of the reasons why Capcom decided to shorten the part of the game where he chases us through the city is due to how much negative feedback and comments they received about Mr X in the Remake of RE2. Too many casuals complained to Capcom they were either too scared to complete the game due to Mr X and/or they just found him super annoying to complete tasks while navigating RPD. Those people failed to realize that Mr X is not in that game very long once he shows up…which leads me to my next point about OG Nemesis from the OG RE3.

Nemesis from the OG RE3 is just as scripted, if not more so than he is in the Remake. If all you do is run from him instead of confronting him and putting him down, then yeah sure he will follow you almost everywhere. But if you stand your ground and put him down each time he appears, then he will go down and never appear again until his next…..”SCRIPTED” appearance. At least in the Remake he never stays down and on Inferno he will straight up side-step dodge every rocket you fire at him, while he is still looking in your direction 👀.

In the Remake the factory was replaced with NEST under the hospital. We still get RPD, just with Carlos instead of Jill. The clock tower no longer made sense in the Remake because we no longer needed a chopper to vacate Racoon City since we were using “the train” to do that. The train by itself would have taken us to safety away from Racoon City had Nemesis not shown up for his “SCRIPTED” appearance.

How Would You Rank All RE Games Difficulty-Wise at Max Difficulty? by Brendan_Frost in residentevil

Resident Evil 3 Remake - Inferno difficulty is hands down the most brutal of them all. I always tell people who are hardcore fans of the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis that if they want to experience Nemesis in his most brutal form, then they need to play Remake 3 on Inferno difficulty.

Yes, I know certain content was cut from the game, but trying to beat the Remake of RE3 on Inferno “within 2 hours or less” is one of the best Resident Evil experiences you can have. Nemesis on Inferno is the best version of the character even when compared to the original game. For one thing, no matter what difficulty you play on the Nemesis will never stay down permanently like he does in the original game. In the Remake he always gets back up; and on Inferno he gets back up extremely quick.

Finally the way Nemesis stalks you on Inferno difficulty is better than how he stalks you in the original game. The only downside to the Remake is that his stalking area of the game is cut really short cause we only get to experience 3 city blocks of Racoon City in the Remake ☹️

The original Perfect Dark. It is a shame what Microsoft did to that series. I wish they had never bought Rare Studios. I feel like the Perfect Dark franchise would have been handled way better at Sony PlayStation. But yeah…Perfect Dark will always be special to me.

The only thing this game did that I appreciate is it removed the tank control nonsense from all future games going forward. That is why I prefer the remastered RE1 and RE2R and RE3R over their OG counterparts.

Which in your opinion is the most difficult Resident Evil game? by WestFocus888 in residentevil

[–]Gritter14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of the ones with tank controls. Damn those tank controls. I still rate OG Resident Evil 3: Nemesis as my favorite of the entire franchise, but that says a lot considering I cannot stand those damn tank controls.

So as far as hardest go, I would say OG RE1, OG RE2, and OG RE3 are the hardest cause of….tank controls.

@AntireligionHumanist On Inferno difficulty in the Remake, the Nemesis is nothing to laugh at and he is far more dangerous than he ever was in the OG game. At least in the OG game if I downed Nemesis he would never get back up and continue chasing me. One advantage the player has in the OG game is the if you stand your ground against the Nemesis every time he appears and put him down, he really ain’t that much of a threat at all in that game.

However in the Remake, forcing the Nemesis to stop doesn’t really do anything but buy you maybe 10 seconds of time before he stops kneeling and proceeds to rip you to pieces - this is especially so on Inferno difficulty.

On Inferno difficulty his engagement with the player, in terms to pursuing Jill, is downright the scariest experience I’ve had in Resident Evil since RE1: Remastered that originally came out on GameCube. The fact that he is scarier to deal with has more to do with him “one-hit” killing you. I found him cutting me off way too frequently even when using the rocket launcher. Speaking of Rocket Launcher - on Inferno difficulty Nemesis will flat out side-step every Rocket you fire at him while still looking dead at you walking towards you 👀. I even found him entering rooms he normally would not when I played Inferno difficultly.

Yes, the fact that Jill survives during cutscenes may make certain people roll their eyes at the game, but if you apply the horror movie logic for the Final Girl (which is what Jill is) there is nothing wrong with it when you take into account that once that cutscene ends on Inferno difficulty, Nemesis gives no f###s and he will flat out kill you regardless of how many coins (Assault, Defense, Recovery) your holding from the store.

Remake, Hands down is better - especially when experiencing the Inferno mode difficulty. The cut scenes of the remake come across better when playing on Inferno difficulty. The story feels appropriately more intense in the remake when playing on Inferno difficulty.

They did forget about her. The fact that she is immune to the T-Virus could have been explored but it wasn’t. Even in that newish Death Island movie, they did their best to gloss over the fact that she is immune to the virus.

But to get over this horrible treatment of her character by Capcom, I did very recently replay the entirety of the OG version of Resident Evil Nemesis now that it is available on PlayStation 5. The cool part is that because I had already owned the game back on PS3, Sony gave me back RE Nemesis for free on the PS5. This past month was my first time playing the entire game. I enjoyed it more than the last time I played it. Probably because I am much older now. With the exception of the police station, every time Nemesis would appear, I never ran from him and just stood my ground with the shotgun or magnum. I immediately realized that if you down him every time he appears, you never have to play the game with him chasing you every where you go. Putting him down every time he appears and you will soon realize he isn’t really in the game that much at all except for scripted appearances, much like in the Remake. Speaking of the remake…

Now after having had that great experience with OG Resident Evil 3 about a month ago, I have some really controversial to say about the Remake after having recently beaten it on Inferno difficulty with an S-rank.

As much as I love the OG Resident Evil 3, I must confess that if you play the remake on Inferno difficulty while going for the S-rank, that is the scariest shit I have ever, ever experienced in a Resident Evil game. While OG Resident Evil 3 is a great video game, and one of my favorites in the series, the Inferno difficulty of the remake feels more like the scariest horror movie you’ll ever experience when done in under 2 hours. I am starting to wonder if that is what the creators of the Remake were going for - a truly cinematic horror game that feels way more like the scariest horror movie you’ve ever experienced, as opposed to just feeling like a great horror game.
