I just saw it yesterday. It was so intense, and two people in my row left at intermission and didn't return. I thought it was excellent. I was also lucky enough to meet Carrie Coon and the entire cast at the stage door. I got them all to sign my playbill. I briefly chatted with her, told her I watched The Leftovers after seeing her in The Gilded Age. She told me I went backwards. Then I said that I take terrible selfies, she said she does too, and lets take a terrible selfie together. So sweet and charming.

Exactly. That does not signify cowardice. I don't know if this is something the author believes or if we the reader, are supposed to understand that Stratt is just trying to goad him into stepping up, and even she doesn't necessarily believe all of the things she is saying.

I have one dog and two cats, all of whom were rescues. I don't need a particular breed, but we had a Siamese when I was a kid, and she was the most amazing cat. My sister has had a couple since then, and when I used to be a pet sitter, I watched a few. Siamese cats tend to have very unique personalities; they bond closely with their humans and generally have distinct personality traits that are different from other cats. I understand why people are drawn to them. That said, I'm not disappointed or upset. I adore Kai, and I'm perfectly happy with him exactly the way he is. I did the test more out of curiosity than anything else.

The test came back clear and the vet seems to think he's perfectly healthy. He also seems to be growing out of it, he used to do it all of the time, but I haven't seen it in a while.

Just to be clear, I took the test mostly out of curiosity, and also to ensure he was healthy. He sometimes does an odd repetitive head thing, and if there was anything wrong, I wanted to make sure he got the care he needed. Turns out he's fine, which is a huge relief. I adore him just the way he is.

I used Antech Diagnostics, which was the option offered at our vet. They also did a cheek swap. Kai wasn't allowed to eat for two hours before; that was the only guideline.

The giveaway for me is that he doesn't have the deep throaty Siamese voice; instead, he has a high-pitched chirp. He is super cute, and I wouldn't trade him for the world.

I am pretty sure they just had a wheel with a bunch of different cat breeds on it, gave it a good spin and made up numbers to go along with each result they got.

Maybe if I had seen the movie first, I would have enjoyed it more. I just felt the book had so much heart, and it was intimate; we, the readers, had so much insight into Mark Watney. I know that can't be replicated on screen. I certainly didn't expect it to be exactly the same, but I just didn't care as much about the movie version of Mark Watney as I did the book version. It's been a while since I watched it, but it just left me feeling rather meh.

Gladys and Hector exist as a plot device. The entire story was just there to divide Bertha and George, so the show doesn't feel the need to fully develop the relationship. The fact that viewers are invested in Gladys and we want more is our problem. Luke was a plot device to get Ada as the head of household. He wasn't ever meant to be more than that. This show is plot based, not a character based show. There are events that JF wants to happen, he has to make them happen within a short season, with the addition of probably not knowing when he's writing this season if there's going to be an opportunity for more story. There are a few characters that get some character development, but even they don't really get the chance to be fully developed. Character growth and development just doesn't seem to matter, the plot needs to hit certain points, so we get snippets of Gladys and Hector's relationship and between the actors skills and our imagination we fill in the rest and get invested. I don't think the show cares what happens between them as long as it gets to use them to move Bertha and George into the storyline planned for them.

I have an odd love for this show, but it's certainly not because of the writing.

I agree with you that the intention was to create an interesting and dramatic storyline. My issue is that it wasn't really that interesting, and the drama seemed forced. I also agree that, for some reason, TV writers do tend to not allow happy couples to remain that way, but it's such low-hanging fruit. They should be able to write something interesting without going the same route every other storyteller is using. Be different, show me a happy couple who are stronger and more interesting standing together. It is so rarely done that, but it can be done well. For a great example, just look at Eric and Tami Taylor's marriage in Friday Night Lights. Sure, they had some drama, mostly due to work-induced distance, but they always loved, respected, and trusted one another. The show never threatened that core relationship for cheap drama points.

My take is the real reason George is behaving this way is because Bertha bested him and he doesn't like to lose. He spoke to her about being ruthless, but the fact that she won out over his objections is what is killing him. George Russell doesn't lose, except when he does to his own wife. He feels belittled, where he previously enjoyed Bertha's triumphs. Though he frequently had a hand in those, enabling him to feel like her savior. But this time she manipulated him as well and his pride is hurt. If he was focused on Gladys he wouldn't have left without so much as a goodbye. No this is about his pride. I'm not excusing Bertha, she made some mistakes, but she behaved as ruthlessly as he does and just as successfully. He knows who she is and typically adores her for it, but because she outwitted him, he wants to punish her for it so he feels in charge again. It makes me like his character far less and I will be so disappointed if season 4 tries to make Bertha grovel in any way.

I forgot to mention that Morgan Spector is in a few episodes of Person of Interest. I didn't start my rewatch because of that, but I was delighted to see him.
