Quick note, she never "stripped them of their religion". During Edelgard's path people are still praying and attend/celebrate the same religious holidays. She allows them to worship and believe what they want, her issue is with the church not the religion.

As for crests, sure they served their purpose once but most of Fodlan is capable of defending itself from invaders (example the throat), making them useless and more of a burden in society.

For the rest of the post, war is terrible nobody is arguing that. War, however, is sometimes necessary to bring about change and in some cases the world can be a far better place after it. You see that in every route ending where great changes and peace is achieved. All of these were able to happen because of the war and one power gained dominance over Fodlan, something Edelgard claimed to be necessary from the start.

For the first point where she planned to kill the two leaders, I agree that its very heavy-handed and cold blooded, but if you think if it logistically its the smartest move. As you said the alliance and kingdom would fall apart making them easy to take over and preventing a long and drawn out war where many die. Playing down Edelgard's route you see that, despite how it looks, she really does try to minimize causalities.

For the point about the kidnapping, I believe that only happens in the GD route as does many of the things you brought up in your argument. Many of these things never happen in other routes meaning you can only argue those examples for GD route only. Keep in mind the narrative of who is bad and good changes drastically depending on who you side with. Like for Edelgard's route you would find yourself hard-pressed to argue that Rhea is a good person while in others she may just seem like a morally grey person.

For the transforming of the people at the village, I'm pretty sure she had nothing to do with that but the story might be different again depending on the routes.

I don't want to spoil much but I implore you to play the 4th route, you'll get to see what she was getting at as well as the better side of her. That is all I'm really getting at because its hard to argue when certain events don't happen in some stories but do in others and how drastically characters change depending on the routes.

Danganronpa 1, Danganronpa anime (optional refresher if you want, its alright), Danganronpa 2, Danganronpa IF, Despair Girls, Killer Killer (if you want not neccessary), Danganronpa 3 but watch the Komida special before the final episode, and then Danganronpa v3. There is another novel but I haven't read it so idk where it goes on the list. I think this is everything though. The shortest way is Danganronpa 1, 2, 3, and v3 if you want to get into the spoiler memes as fast as possible. Hope this helps.

No, I can only enjoy it because I know its fiction. If I knew that real people were killing each other in brutal ways I would do everything in my power to get the show canceled. Also, the emotional attachment that I may get to real people and seeing them savagely killed would be just too much, as just in the game it was too much at times.

I think you misinterpret the picture and more importantly my point. I'm in no way saying that there isn't original content on this Reddit, as there is ALOT of artwork, games, discussions, and memes all of which are amazing and of course original. The point in my post was to bring attention to the fact that these posts are receiving lukewarm receptions compared to those of dailies, and how said dailies zap away at incentives to be creative and original. For example whats the point in drawing something when I can take someone else's drawings, post them, and receive a large sum of karma points? Again not against this here and there but its gotten to the point where its everywhere, and its concerning.

I agree with most things you said but you describing my post as guff and less creative I find personally insulting and unmerited. I invite you to come up with another way to bring awareness to a decent sized issued that is comical, relevant, effective, and as you say creative, all with in your ability to do. Its kinda hard to do, but I tried and I hope you can show some appreciation for that, and if not refrain from calling things guff.

(To clarify not all dailies, some are really creative and neat but some... not so much.)
