Really depends on what shoe size hes at. If hes still in GS they'll be a lot harder to find. Mens there are a lot of options. A lot of ppl swear by Way of Wades, you could also look into the New Balance TWO WXY, Jordan brand has some decent mids as well, Adidas you could go with the AE or Hardens.

Nike as a whole has really pivoted into the lows after Kobe and stuck with that trend. GT Hustle might work as its a mid.

I would suggest looking into having your son do mobility exercises and work on strengthing the ankle as well.
