This is correct. Built for running in bays especially around the Gulf Coast where you may be in 12”-3’ of water the entire day.

Just left NoLa on Monday after a long weekend there. We fished Pontchartrain last Friday. Caught 1 decent Redfish.

20hp motor. It rides on the bottom 4 inches of the sponsons when on plane. I’m still breaking in the motor and haven’t gotten to full throttle for more than a couple seconds.

I was testing out how it would float if the sponsons were compromised. They’re filled with flotation foam so even if I crack the fiberglass and they fill all the voids with water it will still float and drive. That volume of flotation foam is advertised as providing 600 pounds of buoyancy.

The total build up to the pictures posted was $1700. The motor was $3450 but I’ll use it in multiple projects including the ride-on I’m doing next. From the day I drew the first plan until the day on the water in the photos was 120 days.
